I really admire this guys economic value on investing.

Wow. He is energetic. Loved this lekture 😎
nice content Peppi Carpinelli. I killed the thumbs up on your video. Continue to keep up the awesome work.
Golden! Back in the day. Should be right before "Fooled by Randomness" Thx for the upload!
He is a savant
He seems well rested.
Who did he compare to Einstein?
Antifragile e' il mio libro preferito
Omg when the host asked Taleb if Biden was black swan, and after that he asked how to make Italian society more robust (thinking it is the opposite to fragile). I was worried Taleb will start yelling.
Tony Robins and his cronies are snake oil merchants, incomparable to Stanley Druckenmiller.

The psychological skills needed to deal w uncertainty are being eroded when humans are being promised more and more data and more and more concreteness.
Amazing !
Any chance I could get you to look at the limits of rigor in physics, Nassim? I have been lazy, but being uncompensated is a legitimate reason. A Revised Standard Model is coming. And math is going to be upended. You will be fine in the process. BUT, the reliance on machines to generate randomness without an understanding of both the machines' geometric and logical compression errors is a problem. Data science took over math when Monte Carlo machines let us do more with our imaginations; Vigner Effect, the compression of time out of a system, and discreteness. We do not get quantum insanity without a few VERY important hand waves throughout the centuries. Your criticism would be an honor, but I'll take the one tweet like you gave me and keep moving. Banned for tweeting the math of stochastic terrorism. Yaneer is not ready; collected volume readers stick together. I did call Zoonautic Adventurism; good luck vaccinating with pets in the house. Social distancing is so hubristic, when Azazel is animal friendly. Maybe look at NJWildberger's series on Old Babylonian math for engineering, and the pure math stuff I reduced to three numbers. I know you get it, can we admit it? e, sq2 and Pi, dimensional rationality gauges. 0.577 + 1.414 + 3.141 =5.132. Add the first 1 from the fibonacci sequence, and you get 6.132. And energy dipole, plus the Euclidean Plane mapping points. A dipole is a dynamic and fluid pyramid. All up from the first embedded factorial dimension. Factorial infinity. From Nature, not some bullshit consciousness-excluded virtual particle space. QCD is fractal, not infinite dimensional. You need three primary optical points to even have color. Rather than imagining the static to be non-deterministic, imagine the deterministic to be dynamic. I may have to look into the technical aspects of your debate with that Frenchman. He may have gotten the better of it, but the specifics matter. I smell infinitesimals (electrostatic charge signature) and dynamical friction in the math of his argument. I don't speak Earthling without an accent. And I get the e in case it rains tweet now.
Good interview. Independence vs centralisation. Positive evolution. Thinkering vs theory. Gain from black swans. Follow your interest. Live below your means ans avoid hedonistic adaptation. Small and frequent experiments lead to discoveries.

The moral of this story: Do not put all your eggs in one basket; keep an eye on the henhouse and the few rascal hens abroad. Augment any vigilance with a drone's eye view, and remember not everyone eats dinosaur.
Is this a Flintstones reference? The dinosaur part.
yes...........one lesson from the virus is that....We are very fragile...........

Love this interview. I made my real estate business antifragile. We contract distressed properties and if we can sell the contract we make a big profit, if not we cancel within due diligence period and lose $0. It is impossible for us to lose money, except for a very small marketing cost. Many of these sellers think too slow and work for bureaucratic institutions. I know these types from university, they think within the system. Thanks NNT !
Inspiring.
If you don't risk-taking risk you are rent-seeking that's not antifragile.
@@gd9259 Completely wrong, we do take risk, we are just smart in how we do it. "Rent seeking (or rent-seeking) is an economic concept that occurs when an entity seeks to gain added wealth without any reciprocal contribution of productivity." We do add value in the transaction and therefore productivity, so your remark is completely bogus. We also take risk in marketing expense, it just has an extreme assymetric payoff.

19:23 coronavirus, joke. I see, Druckenmiller really disavows the opportunity to present his narrative which many of his ilk often do as they start believing they're the narrators of market movements. He actually keeps weighing sides as best he can until he discerns what the overarching direction may be.

Paul, please return to your TN. cowboy roots, and leave socialist rat packed New York City. You seem to regurgitate the socialist dribble of the empty suits at the Harvard sociology department.
