Hi! My name is Alexander. I like writing and producing songs. I grew up playing piano and guitar, but I've always been drawn to songwriting. I’ve been writing music since I was 10, and it's become an essential outlet for my introverted brain. I’m also learning to produce, so I figured that the best way to learn is to keep creating music and sharing it as I go. I love to tell stories in my songs, some fictional and some from my life, but I always put a piece of myself into every song. This is the most personal song that I’ve made thus far. I wrote ‘snow globe’ after losing my best friend. On a particularly dark day, I felt so overwhelmed amongst having to break the devastating news to the world, appointments with my new therapist, isolation from friends, and a trip to the ER for stress-induced heartburn, that I knocked my prized snow globe off my shelf. Collecting the fragments from my dorm room floor, I thought about how a snow globe captures a moment frozen in time, wishing that I could have done the same. This song is for those who know the agony of missing someone so deeply that you’d give up the future just to relive a moment of the past.
