I don’t like the personal property tax in NoVa. It’s now 5.33% which is ridiculous. You pay a sale tax when buying a car, then annually pay another portion. Estimate the whole amount of the car life time you have to pay is about 40-50% the original value of your car until you get rid of the car. More and more VA residents get MD license plate to avoid these taxes.

Northern Virginia PWC, county, Arlington, Fairfax Loudoun Alexandria is very different compared to the rest of Virginia.. in my opinion they should be their own state.anything south of Rappahannock River and west of Loudoun County is where real Virginia starts.
