In a 1v1 all in if illaoi hits e and ults you she wins before you even stack lethal tempo up. You will have to run away even at early level if she hits e. And since trundle is a melee character you have to go into her tentacles to farm and hitting e is very easy for her plus you can't really trade without giving a large amount of health. After 6 you have to run away immediately from the center of her ult or get one shot, so it's better to go for the consistent dmg increase overall rather than the ramping attk speed. And going for short trades when her e is down which you win with press the attack and chomp. Although none of this matters anymore cause lethal tempo is deleted just explaining the logic to you anyways lul. You can see exactly what I mean at 6:13 illaoi is so strong in all ins vs melee characters that even with trundle being 3/0 and her 0/3 and a level down she still wins that if he doesn't run away lethal tempo would have not even proc'ed fully or would have just gotten to max by the time he runs away but he can get 3 hits to trigger PTA before LT would be maxed out at which point he would already be dead. (One more w kills him there btw if Illaoi was better she flashes and kills him You can see she wastes it on the wave instead as he runs away). I will say trundle also misplayed there though as soon as she ults he needs to run back to tower. He should of initially baited out her ult with pillar and pretending to all in and then went back to tower and ghosted and ulted her and he kills her and gets her flash OR he almost kills her and gets her flash. I also recommend taking ignite instead of exhaust into illaoi it really helps with her self healing and a lot of time you are just a few autos from killing her so it helps way more than exhaust in my opinion along with buying anti heal early. You even win early with it I believe even if she hits her e she can't out heal your all in if she's ignited cause her healing scales with lvl of her e and q (Although sadly I think with LT removal this no longer applies you probably lose now). This turned into a massive rant lol.
