The oil pump needs to have the 15mm impeller, rather than the 13.5 mm one. Casting code on these needs to be 9X2Q-6600-AE or 9X2Q-6600-AH. Part numbers are LR123716 or 1001 G2 if you get one from Citroën. I'd recommend JGS4X4, Advanced Factors or John Craddock as suppliers. You also need the oil pump crankshaft seal 1102415LR. You're correct in the belief in steering away from pattern parts...OEM only for stuff like this. Good luck with the repair...I look forward to the content 👍

Great cars but the EGFR valves, suspension bushes, turbo plenum chamber, handbrake, instruments (speedo needle light...) and fuel-tank sensor are all flakey and WILL fail at some time or other. My froend and I hace identical cars and warn each other as the 'next' item flags up. Still, wouldn't change it for anything.

I cut the filter neck off with a hack saw and replaced the original filter with the britpart sump and filter upgrade kit. Much easier. The bolts are fiddly with the cross member in the way but very do-able. Each step of the process is shown in the video and the products I use are in the description. Good luck!

Some water is coming out behind the wheel where it should, but I also have water coming out around the sunroof and overhead lights. I suspect something is broken where the line meets the sunroof tray. I have the replacement lines, just not looking forward to this job. Good luck with the change, let me know how it goes. I’m on insta with the same user name if you have questions or get stuck DM me on there and I’ll get back to you asap.

John, can I please check - have you used any adhesive silicon for gasket when applied on the sump? I only saw you applying a grease. Is that sufficient to hold and make sure it doesn’t leak?

@@miroarva1424 hi mate no I only used grease to help keep the gasket in place when lining it up. I have been underneath a number of times since doing other jobs and there are no leaks.

Great info this mate. Getting my Disco ready for week up in the highlands and this has probably saved me a hunred quid on roof bars. We sleep in the back of our disco with a self inflating mattress, but when you fold down the rear seats, they don't sit flush with the floor in the boot. So we nabbed a pallet and it was the perfect hight to bring the boot floor level with the back seats. Had cut it down slightly so it fit snug in the boot, and then we made some drawers to go in the pallet so we can put the stove in their etc. Could be an idea for a video for you. Also have a look at a unistrut DIY roof rack, another idea for you.
