Wait, so the break effect set's buff only works to characts who give super break? So even if bh gets super break from hatblazer he won't be able to use it?

I'm still debating if the last set would be good for Topaz. That and the follow up/ult dmg is obviously good for Jade, but I need to know if that set would be good for Topaz VS Inert Salsotto

The fact there's a super break set seems to imply that there will be more characters that will enable it in the future.

gallagher doesn't use any SP he only normals and ults he doesn't need to skill unless you have to cleanse ruan mei is going to be her best support, gallagher will be amazing while also gaining amazing buffs from ruan mei aswell, probably the trailblazer with them

Heya, guys, need help and(or) explanation. Got 300 pulls, and (maybe) will get at least 15 more. I don't have Ruan Mei, so I need to pull her too. How should I pull? 1) Firefly 2) ? 3) ? 4) ?

Firefly won't be able to benefit much from Jingliu's lc because you can only activate it's passive when an ally loses health, excluding the wearer and from what I understand, Firefly can only make change her HP. So you could run Jingliu's lc just for the stats but at that point it's better to go for a 4 star lc that has a passive that can benefit Firefly.

I managed to save 6 self modeling resins just for firefly and Iam ready to use them all on her new relics

Just to clarify. Her dmg reduction relying on her hp% is on her base state. If she is on complete combustion!, she is always at 40%dmg red

Firefly/Ruan Mei Jade/Huohuo Those are my guesses. Male characters being pushed back isn’t uncommon. Jing Yuan & Luocha. Otherwise if Argenti does come, it won’t be with Firefly since she’s a DPS. He can come with Jade since she’s a sub-dps? No banner has ever had 2 main DPS’s, just dps and sub-dps.

YOu said you dont need the light cone if you have RM, what if you can get the lightcone and don't have RM? is that equal?

I have ratio, aventurine and topaz but I don't have robin... so who's the best alternative for robin in that team comp??

i think ruan mei rerun is almost confirmed if we look at topaz being at Robins banner it is the exact same situation. On top of that boothill is also break focused so for him Ruan mei is also the best support so it is extremely likely they'll rerun her. The second one on jades banner is questionable tho. Maybe Argenti, maybe Ratio, maybe Huo Huo or even Seele (although i doubt that).

ill be pissed they re run ruan mei because if they do and she first phase with firefly i would have to prioritize ruan mei first then firefly i have 14k jades and 15 tikets (F2P) at 9 pity i might be abke to get both if i farm up jades from the quests and events but i do see less value of banner pulls on firefly if they re run ruan mei so their still chance they wont do it.

Am I missing something or is everybody ignoring the fact that Seele hasn't gotten a banner for half a year? Like why are people considering Ruan mei and Ratio over Seele when her rerun is really late? Will she be in standard soon or something?

People tend to forget at the end of the day this is just a team-building, turn based Gacha RPG with resource management embedded into it. when you see a character's kit, the only normal reaction or thought process was how this character would synergize with other characters as well. Since many of you who would go out their way saying "tHiS cHaRaCtEr 'A' iS sH*t WitHouT ChaRaCteR 'B'.", let me give you a food for thought. On their own, (w/o SU buff, Memory turbulence, PF buff, etc.) every character is dogpoo. example below: > DHIL, his biggest dmg comes from both his 3-SP-Cost EBA and Ultimate. can he generates SP on his own? Yes, but you would rather cry than doing this. hence, he is poopoo on his own and needs a teammate. > Ratio, Main kit revolves around Follow Ups but it locked behind a 40% (60% if you managed to land his own debuff) chance after you used a skill. His ultimate applies "Wiseman's Volley" which contain FuA which only triggers when an ALLY attacks. can Ratio pulls off consistently on his own? BIG NO. He is big doo doo therefore he needs a teammate. > Kafka, DoT character which applies it from her Ultimate and FuA, and where is this FuA triggers from? you guessed it, Her teammates. on her own, she would need her signature LC in order to consistently apply her own DoT. the list could go on. but the point still stands that this is a matter of teambuilding. having HMC paired with Firefly is probably the most cost-efficient way to teambuild around her while Ruan Mei is the premium option. Besides, what Harmony unit are y'all planning to pair with aside HMC and RM? Robin? Bronya? Sparkle? their action advancement benefits surely, however the CDMG buff would be wasted on that comp whereas Asta is viable F2P. I can understand when you are trying to pair Firefly with Nihility units. In conclusion, each account varies from the amount of characters, what LC you have, Relics RNG, even you own personal resources. I'd refrain from calling certain character mid until the release day because numbers are subject to change.

Yo, i plan on pulling boothill for my argenti, since i want to save sw for my second phase team. She also doesnt synergize with applying phys bug, since his team also has huohuo and tingyun. He (*Boothill) can guarantee apply phys weak and itd be nice to have a subdps while argenti's nuke is down. Should I pull boothill or wait for some upcoming characters. Im not a tc'er or very good at team building, so lemme know what you think.

Well firefly is able to 0 cycle MOC so the buff really is asked only to make her more viable without HMC (who got no use outside of breakeffect teams). TBH it’s a stupid take asking for better variety in teambuilding when the strongest version is the one being used. I don’t see bronya leaving my jing liu team, or sparkle my dhil. My dot team got Kafka BS. Sure it’s fun testing builds combining funky teams. But in the end it’s only the start of the breakeffect playstyle which was nearly useless before.

idk about you but i just saw a 0 cycle clear using E6 Sushang in the most recent MoC stage 12 using a BREAK based team, if firefly's damage is heavily locked to only after breaking, then it's still not an issue if Sushang is THIS effective (and no the content creator didn't cheat using S5 5 star lightcones)

I'm interested in the team damage of Silverwolf as the Break DPS vs Firefly i really think that is when people need to be concerned If the Silverwolf break team outshines the firefly break teamwhile being a more generalised buffer if this happens I'd be annoyed.

Sorry but there is no good argument here, just doomposting. She doesn't do dmg outside of break , well that is how she is intended to work. No way people expect her to have crit in the kit like boothil. Hmc is free , ruan mei is free. You can delay by a lot the enemies when broken , you can play sustainless slap a bronya and that's it you go 4-5 times per cycle and clear tge end game content. People who are sad about how she is right now are just people that don't have Ruan mei lmao.

Not a must pull, but not a must skip in the least either, unless you're saving for someone else ofc. If you have him and you've built him/invested (no pun intended lol) with the recommended 4k DEF, the crit boost and crowd control resistance alone makes him a really good addition. He's great for Swarm, he MELTS toughness bars in SU, and because of how often he reapplies shields with FU attacks he's also really SP friendly. I run him E0 S0 with break effect, dot, or follow-up attack focused teams and I've had zero wipes since I hit the 4k DEF threshold. Haven't maxed out talents yet either. Teams I've tried: 1: Acheron, Silver Wolf, Robin 2: Jing Yuan, Acheron, Silver Wolf 3: Harmony MC, Robin, Jing Yuan/Jingliu/Acheron 4: Dr. Ratio, Himeko, Silver Wolf I plan on testing more but I'm still building some characters I want to start trying him out with (Topaz, Herta, and Xuyei to name a few). Do what you will with that info, though! I think the HSR team is doing a good job of making every character valuable in some capacity. I mean this respectfully, but if anyone feels like a character is a "must skip" it probably just means they either don't fit the preferred playstyle or they haven't found the team comp that lets them shine yet. You're not gonna run him with someone like Blade, obviously, for example.
