उन्होंने 16 साल बड़े और पहले से ही शादीशुदा एक्टर नजीर अहमद खान संग दूसरी शादी रचा ली थी. नजीर संग शादी करने के लिए सितारा ने अपना धर्म भी बदल लिया था. ये दोनों हिंद पिक्चर्स स्टूडियो में पार्टनर थे. जब स्टूडियो में काम करने के लिए सितारा को पैसे नहीं मिल रहे थे तो उस वक्त नजीर अहमद खान के भतीजे के.आसिफ उनका सहारा बने थे. सितारा देवी ने साल 1944 में के.आसिफ से शादी कर ली थी. सितारा देवी संग शादी के दो साल बाद ही आसिफ ने सितारा देवी की ही दोस्त से दूसरी शादी कर ली थी, लेकिन उस वक्त सितारा देवी ने कुछ न कहा. इस डांसर के सब्र का बांध तब टूटा, जब आसिफ ने दिलीप कुमार की बहन से तीसरी शादी रचा ली. चौथी शादी भी टिक नहीं पाईके.आसिफ को तलाक देने के बाद सितारा देवी की मुलाकात गुजराती बिजनेसमैन प्रताप बरोट से हुई. धीरे- धीरे ये मुलाकात प्यार में बदल गई और सितारा देवी ने प्रताप बरोट संग शादी कर ली. इस शादी से सितारा देवी का एक बेटा भी है, लेकिन ये शादी भी ज्यादा दिनों तक टिक नहीं पाई और दोनों की राहें अलग हो गईं.
