Ben Jogan is 100 per cent right.. He has a very strong grip and does not want to hook it!! Don't criticize Zach he one of the best golfers in the world !!! Watch he will probably win the British open
@dsizemore81 In TGM terms he's using an Angled Hinge through impact with to swivel in the backswing (it means that the cluface is always square to the arc as you said). But Hogan added a little swivel in the backswing (the cup in the wrist) with a very weak grip = open clubface at the top. Hogan had such strong hands to control an angled hinge with a weak grip... Mr Johnson's grip is super strong. They both never rolled the clubface through impact, but with very different muscle intentions!
@BenJogan Release? You're talking about the old "roll your right hand over your left" release, right? Terrible advice for anyone. There shouldn't be a conscious rolling or "release" as you say of the wrists. Zach's clubface is square to the arc.
Why oh why did he mess with his swing? he won 2 aus opens (one as an amateur) and had such an orthodox, balanced action. Then he starts pulling the club low and inside and tilting. What a shame if this young man goes on to achieve nothing of note in golf. He had such potential as an 18 year old.
Zach can't release his hands because his club face is closed at the top. If he released the club, he'd hit a hook/pull very easily. Moe Norman and Hogan had a flat swing, but their clubs were square in the backswing (Hogan sometimes a bit open). Zach is able to control the club, Moe and Hogan didn't. THEY DIDN'T FIGHT THE GOLF CLUB. Don't make comparisions with them.
Funmichi.....how much fuc king better does a dude have to get you moron....can you beat Zach Johnson......NOPE! Swing a bit higher....sounds like you are the one who is higher.
what I have never seen as logical is to make a wide backswing to become tight in he downswing, this doesn't make sense at all. here S&T seems to be right. but if u look badd's swing he hasn't got reverse pivot at all. He's very well balanced but turning by avoiding tilting to the right. His weight at the top is sill in the inside of his right leg, right where it should be, they're not discovering that much stuff
It's 2 years now that i'm suffering from ms (right leg doesn't work due to neurological problem). I've played golf for nearly 40 years, playing in the high 70ies and low 80ies, after ms was diagnozed, scores went up. Stack + tilt is a good solution for my problem, length an ball contact nearly as good as before.

Like Rory MacIllroy...
Ever thought that isnt is full swing. He just hits it far sobhe doesnt need a full pitching wedge. I pretty sure he doesnt use stack and tilt.
Swung that quite baddeley if you ask me.

Check out his tour stats with S&T and compare those to his tour stats once he abandoned S&T. Numbers don't lie. S&T fit him.
so simple, wicked!
@sbguard9 ahahaha fuckin brillant
NO! He left Mike and Andy and you can see it in his play.
@KnowYourTeam lol are u serious mr. KnowYourShit?

LOL!! slow motion speaking always cracks me up!!!!!!!!!!
what are you going to club him over the back? its the least stressful swing on your body
it is with mine, but it has more to do with angles than ability. =< Mine wont go past 125yds even with a 110mph swing ::flex::
148 yard pitching wedge? Crazy
Hahaha that slow mo commentary is damn funny
I'll try it out on the practise range... It better work or my swing will just get fucked up... :p
