2024 California Redwood Forest and Rugged Oregon Coast
A few video clips during our road trip to Northern California and south Oregon. There are many redwood state and national parks along the coast of northern CA. Driving among the tall redwood trees with eye-popping sun ray shining on on the road was truly an unforgettable experience. A few road names were mentioned, which have easy parking and day-hike. The scenery was a little different on south OR side, wild and scenic rivers rowdier, beaches with few visitors. it is a great place for outdoor adventures, fishing, hiking.

Cheetah Mom and Her 4 Cubs Play, Hunt and Kill
Просмотров 2,9 тыс.Месяц назад
On August 20, 2024 at Mashatu Game Reserve, a cheetah mom and 4 very young cubs hunted for a steenbok in early evening hours. The process was very quick and short, as the cheetah mom over-powered the prey completely... The first 4 minutes is a picture slide show of cubs playing, cheetah stalking. The rest is the video of the kill process, viewer discretion is advised!

They apparently "sensed" something is hiding in the structure as well. The slow motion movie also allows us to see how lions using their tongue to drink. Sony a1 200-600mm lens
Bears Catching Fish at Brooks Falls--棕熊抓鱼 4K
Просмотров 39 тыс.3 месяца назад
This was recorded in July of 2023 at Katmai National Park/Brooks Falls. Most of the video clip was taken on the viewing platform. In order to shot the video contents after 3:10, I walked a unmarked trail before reaching the platform entry and waded into the river/creek, and literally stood next to the other bears in the river. Original sound Sony a1 with 200-600 mm lens
Polar Bear Spring Cubs & Icebergs -- An Arctic Safari (visited by ~ 40 people/yr)
Просмотров 3,5 тыс.4 месяца назад
I visited Baffin Island in northern Canada in late March, 2024 and witnessed one of the most magical moments of wildlife on our planet spring polar bear cubs and icebergs, in the high Arctic. This was very exclusive trip with the help of Arctic Kingdom. Based on the camp manager, there are only ~250 people able to visit during the last 6 seasons (i.e. ~ 40 people per year), compared to the othe...

2023 San Francisco Air Show on Oct 7, 2023. One special reason I captured these photos and video clips was because you can stand at aircraft's "eye level", which is rare for air show.

We had total of 5 leopard sightings within a few days. We stayed at Nkonzi Camp and Flatdogs Camp and really enjoyed the time during our stay.

Good footage but of course you know that guests aren't allowed to stand in the river and you endangered yourself and the bears to get it.

Thanks for comment! You made a good point on safety. When we joined the training class, our group already had the waders on, the ranger only mentioned safety distance. Actually there are more fisherman in the river. The reason that I only had a short video in river spot was because when we started there were no bears around us, then they started approaching us, so we had to leave that area.

@@franksadventuretravel3905 Yes, I know that people fish the river nearby, but not in the immediate area of the falls. People have been arrested for leaving the platform and standing in the river. Glad you left when bears approached.

Boy, salmon have a tough life. First they have to swim upstream for hundreds of miles to spawn, then on the way there some of them get eaten alive by bears. Puts having to take out the trash in perspective.

Hi Sabrina! … Mercury … going to present a Zoom Slide show on our Botswana trip we took with you; it was wonderful. Fun to see you in this video:) … I’d read of North & South Luangwa from researchers/authors Delia & Marc Owens - they were SO brave & determined to stop poaching of elephants … they’d gone to Luangwa because it was so remote at the time, relatively free of people - yet still they found poaching out of any control. - They helped develop Eco Tourism there!
