OFFICIALLY DESTROYED: Adidas Adios Pro 3 review (200 Miles)
It took me a while to warm up to this shoe. I still think the ASICS meta speed sky Paris is better in every way though.
Sky Paris is definitely on my try-list.
bring new vaporfly video %3 how many miles are they?
I like Peg plus. The only downfall of this shoes is the price. Shoes these days (specially the trainers) have high stacks with big foams and have some sort of plates in and that makes hard to feel the ground. With peg plus, i can feel scretching the ground and toeing off and actually FEEL the terrain. Could see why the shoe is named as Pegasus. Comfy and flexible. I personally think it is designed to be the ideal trainer for Vapour3
The B12 - Best overall running shoe ever! Love mine
Will you ever try On Running?
Yes!
I am following you because you have the same wear pattern as me. You said that you worked on it to rectify the problem. Your shoes are worn on the outside in the forefoot. Are you still going to show which drills you do to rectify this and let it know if it works? You said a long time ago that you would make a video about it but till now you haven't shown anything. Does the video still come?
I know you've been following me for this video, and I've been working on adding it to a vlog series. I'll release a short-but-sweet within the next week, just be aware there will be a deeper dive in the future.
@@FilipLatochaRunning Excellent. Thank you for giving me an update.
Outsole durability aside, do you think the dual foam setup on the Boston is still delivering after 400+ miles? Does it feel good? Thanks!
I'd say it's been okay/ expected wear & tear at this stage of the game, so it's definitely still useable, just don't expect any miracle runs after 300+ miles is my thoughts.
If I recall, the B12 was released June-ish '23.
That tracks!
Alphafly 2’s suck so bad I was scared to buy the 3’s 😆 I mainly wanted to know if the 3’s had a wider mid foot support where the pad isn’t rubbing on your arch like they do on the 2’s. Nonetheless, I prefer vaporfly 2’s and just bought the vaporfly 3’s which are good so far
Love the boston 12. Picked up my second pair and my first still have loads of life in them. Also just picked up my pro 3 and after so.e reviews I am a tad nervous I won't get on with it. 😢 fingers crossed!
It's basically the Tempo Next %
It’s a 10mm drop, not 8mm. V2 had an 8mm. Puma’s increased the stack height and drop this time around.
I believed the hype. Wasted $300.
AF V3 was on my feet for a 10min PB which gave me a Chicago 2025 time qualifying spot, and a Boston 2025 bib. And I'm wearing the same pair I BQ'd in at Chicago 2024 with currently 175km on them. I suspect I will retire them after Chicago from racing, and get a fresh pair for Boston. My wear on the AF V3 is limited to the front of the red rubber under the air pods, which tells me all I need to know....I'm working those pods! I did roll my right ankle 3 times during my tune up half marathon on Sept 22nd, but the road to trail to road sections were mostly to blame. I will be cautious at Chicago so I can hopefully go sub 3:10 and BQ again for 2026. After running marathons in the AF V1 and V2, the V3 was glorious at my spring 2024 marathon with a 3min neg split!
I am glad that it seems to work for you. My Bowerman went straight back :( Also cool that they came out with a pink accent one just in time for your purchase :)
Pink is +5 speed!
Had the 4 and great energy return but these shoes are very unstable for any kind of pronation issues . 5s are similar .
Nike hasn't been on point with QC for a while now. You are gambling when you buy a Nike shoe because most likely you will get dodgy glue marks or any other defective product issues. I understand the urge for nostalgia but there are better shoes that can offer more than this one for better or the same price. When you retire Turbo Plus you can look for upcoming Adidas shoes like Evo SL which has full length lightstrike pro with no plates or rods and is cheaper than Nike. Also, they are releasing another full length lightstrike pro no plate shoe Adios 9 with less stack (similar to takumi sen).
I'll probably get a second pair of these on black Friday really like them
Great review and analysis!. I just purchased the Pro 3, and I run on them first time today.
W !
WOW your hair got very long since the last time.
I had the same exact thoughts on the fit I felt like I was swimming in them a bit and felt the same about the laces , I ended up being uncomfortable running in them in half marathonn I did because image to hold my feet in the shoe
Great compare
I was struggling to find a running shoe that worked for me and then I found the Mach 4 and then Mach 5’s. So disappointed in the Mach 6, too narrow and not as soft. Didn’t like it at all when first tried in. Had to return 😏 Hope they bring back the Mach 5 style 🤞🏼
Are you going to give the Peg 41 a try? The foam is different enough that I'm tempted.
Definitely can try!
Wish I could find a shoe that felt like the Mach 5. Experienced soreness every run in the Mach 6. Can no longer find anymore Mach 5
Feet, ears and nose continue to grow throughout life until death infact. Keep this in mind when wearing and reviewing foot wear over your vlog time-line. This fact is science. Not opinion.
Hey Filip, are you still aiming for a sub 2:40 marathon and when do you plan to achieved sub 2:40 in the next 10-20 years?
Yes, but baby steps first. Need to get 2:59:59, and then work for 2:40 in next 2-4 years.
@@FilipLatochaRunning I am also working towards 2:40. Best of luck to you!
map my run stinks for real time pacing
The Vaporfly 3 are absolute rubbish
Tf r u British bloody hell mate
The mach 6 is no comparison to the mach 5.The 5 is far superior for daily quick pace runs in my opinion. My my mach 6 are now used for walking only
Why sole is cutted on lateral heal side? Does anyone knows?
I think for weight reduction/ design-detail.
@@FilipLatochaRunning I really hope it's not that, kind of making shoe more unstable if you land on heel.. think it's a great shoe, just find it weird that noone has clear answer.. There's also a different rubber "style" on that small lateral/heel part of outsole, like they really tried to do something important with it and that it doesn't come unnoticed...
That's not a standard eva foam. It's a supercritical eva. I have the Mach 5 also. Midsole is an improvement.
That inward heel roll feeling is quite strange, but I managed to get used to it without injury (lucky ?)
which one is more bouncy and soft?
Comes down to your stride preference, but I felt that the Nitro 2 was a better bounce for my stride.
Why fade?
Love how in depth your reviews are. Keep it up! 🔥
Sorry to hear you're dealing with a cold. The video was great-the sound was awesome this time! I think all of us fans agree that we're really happy to see your relationship going strong.
I have over 100 miles in this one and not having as much wear as you are having, not yet. I also under pronate , so we shall see. Loving this shoe so far. It would be great if you could review the Puma MagMax. I do understand though that it might be a “tall order”
That heel stack doe
Hello sir, do u recommend adios pro 3 is better than vaporfly 3, at present time, specially for half marathon? Actually I need a good pair, where i will get good support, durability on my budget.
How is your stride coming along? I am curious if your stride is fixed yet or is it still as supinated now? I really like to know when you have fixed that what excercises and drills you did.
I have two pairs , the oldest has over 300 miles on them and still help me fly . Maybe you got a bad pair ? Some of the rubber is gone from the soul but im thinking maybe another 100 to 200 miles , and for reference i am 90k so heavy for a runner , and a fatty compared to your good self. Thanks for the video 👍
Nice comparison sir
I can't believe with the Mach 5, a best seller, and one of the best and original shoes on the market, how at Hoka, they gave us this bland and boring shoe..... they've gone from a BMW M5 to a Toyota Camry Hybrid. And they have made it too high..... 8 whopping mm difference. Who ever did this at Hoka should be fired 😮😊
M5 is a heavy POS, so poor example but I get your point
I had heel drag experience running on this shoe, and it;s a bit heavy while running since the outsole is somewhat meant for trail.
Yeah, right now I’ve been seeing well. Ross has been having my fuck buy for wait for it. Those are the best I see case anybody’s interested
you made quite an Interesting point here, saying that 10mm drop causes supination. i am a midfoot striker, but when i stand i very mildly overpronate with almost flat feet, but all my shoes are 10mm and the wear pattern in rubbers is almost the same as yours, in supination areas but not quite as much as yours.
I was told by my run form doctors that the higher offset 8-10mm is meant to correct running form, so if the wear is on the outside of the shoe, we just need to drop to about 4-6mm, as we're overcorrecting with the higher offset, granted there's like 29483792 other factors involved.
@@FilipLatochaRunningOk, time to try some lower offset shoes now for that 1/29483792 chance to not blow up the rubber on the sides, have to burn up my 7 shoes before I get some with lower drops. TY for the reply.
I refuse to pay more than a tire for a shoe that gets pathetic 300-400 mi before throwing away...a waste of resources and a scam IMO. There is NO reason a shoe's sole could not last for a few 1000 mi as a tire lasts 30-80K mi and is under so much more load and speed! Think about it.....
nice one champ 🇿🇦
I am surprised you haven't rip a gigantic hole in the forefoot outsole of either shoe yet. Amazing! Brovo👍
For the Metaspeed Sky+, the folks at runrepeat measured the heel stack at 33.5mm and the forefoot stack at 30.8mm for a 2.7mm drop. Given the chonk in the forefoot, it ran like a negative drop shoe for me.
I've seriously considered the possibility of a negative drop on the Metapseed Sky.
