I have not (yet) but I do use a GSX1200 on my desktop and used bluetooth headphones when I was playing this on my Steam Deck. I say yet because I have been asked this before so I am expecting it to happen at some point.

At first I thought it could be due to my internet connection but from what I have read on other peoples posts the game is unstable in proton. It could be both or this may have changed but I did try to figure out what the issue was but refunded this game after reading a post from the developer regarding Linux. They used to have a Linux native build so I incorrectly had assumed they would support proton but yeah.

I purchased EA through Steam and downloaded it through Steam. If you would prefer one could install using the launcher from their website pathofexile2.com with Lutris or Heroic Games Launcher

I have checked it runs on both. Runs great on my Steam deck also on both wayland and x11 on my desktop

I haven’t found there to be much difference in performance with flatpaks. Maybe try different versions of proton? I am still using GEProton8-26

For this game I use proton experimental. I have not played the new update but just jumped on and checked it still runs on my system with experimental. I hope this helps, also make sure you have the battleye runtime installed. Edit: I have checked and 9.0-3 which is the current stable proton also works.

Yeah EA added their anti-cheat which is not compatible with Linux sadly.

If you install wine it will show up in Heroic as an option. In Fedora the command is “sudo dnf install wine” then restart or open Heroic. Glorious Eggroll has a page on wine which can be found here: www.gloriouseggroll.tv/how-to-get-out-of-wine-dependency-hell/

Sadly it seems that 27th of November 2024 the anti-cheat was updated and no longer allows access for Linux users.

It has been quite some time since I played this and totally missed that. I’ll have to look into this.

It is strange that it worked before. The only issue I have come across was depending on if the game is using opengl or not. Steam launch option for games running opengl MANGOHUD_DLSYM=1 mangohud gamemoderun %command% For all other MANGOHUD=1 gamemoderun %command% While the options under github.com/flightlessmango/MangoHud Advise to use “mangohud” or if opengl “mangohud --dlsym” regarding the opengl launch option I have found that for some reason some native linux games from loading. I have had more success with these. I hope this helps, if not does global enable assist in anyway?

Battlebit is great, this is free to play for those who have people to play with as it has a pretty low player base currently.

Yeah it seems like a fun game but it has a small player base at the moment. 3 players in the last 24 hours with its all time peak being 22 players 3 months ago.

I use proton experimental for this game. I have not had issues playing this game so far but looking at www.protondb.com/app/306130 Other individual have indicated it runs good under linux. I will check after work to confirm, I have struggled to find a multiplayer game due to being in Oceania. EA’s anti-cheat is not listed on Steam for this game according to SteamDB steamdb.info/tech/AntiCheat/EA_AntiCheat/

Game still works and I am currently in an online lobby waiting for 19 people, hopefully you have more luck with multiplayer in your part of the world.

It is related to gamescope. I don’t normally use gamescope because I don’t like the menu being fullscreen but when I turn it on I get this bug. To fix this you need to delete the user folder, I suggest using the LUG found here github.com/starcitizen-lug/lug-helper Under “maintenance and troubleshooting” you will see the option to delete your user folder keeping characters. Then set up gamescope to what you want to use before launching the game and you will be good to go.

I forgot to add make sure you enable the “relative mouse mode” for gamescope as well.

Both the Linux community and Valve. If you are running Linux in Steam turn on the compatibility and for a lot of games you are good to go.

I ran this in the flatpak version of Steam. The game would not run for me under the native version.

I did not test this out on Windows. I have read a few reviews about the game and on Linux the game loads faster but performance is identical to windows.

For any easy anti-cheat issues I go into the games folder, delete the EAC folder and then verify the game. It will download easy anti-cheat again and install it on first boot. I have not had this error, however, I have not been able to play much because I cannot find a game due to when I am able to play games which is not a Linux issue as I have tried in both windows and Fedora. I hope you have been able to resolve this issue.

It has been amazing what works. GTA 4 runs amazing I mostly play it on the Steam Deck. Please be aware that for GTA 5 Rockstar recently implemented an anti-cheat which stopped Linux players being able to play online but one can still play the GTA 5 campaign. Valve was in discussions with Rockstar as the anti-cheat used can run on Linux if the developer allows it but I haven’t seen any updates regarding any changes.

It should show up installing using the native package for your distribution or using the flatpak. If you are not seeing it using one maybe you could try the other?
