I love this movie. It's one of my favorites.
I think that man would say drill baby drill just don’t let it get out of control or you have to call Red
Red was an absolutely amazing man. And he was a TEXAN!!!!
0:27 that outcrop at left is a bit of Flood sediments that hardeened enough to not slump and wash away as the flood's water drained back under the crust. It is called Flood Topography and similar can be seen all over Earth.
Horrible movie!
I had the chance to meet "Boots" Hansen ,...What a pleasure!!!...I consider him and Mr Adair and Coots Mathews to be the true American heroes, I would have given anything to be on that crew,.....hard work ,...innovation and BALLS,.....I really admire those men.
Very funny, uplifting movie. Worth watching more than once! Amazing rendition of song: "My God is Real".
Bad ass enough to be played by John Wayne
a true American.
Did some math on this , the power output of that flame was about 7000 megawatts or 7 gigawatts, 185 cubic meters of NG per second being burned.
I got to meet Red Adair when I was a kid about 11 or so. My dad was one of the directional drillers on this project. We still have some home movies he brought home. Something to see.
I got drunk with him in Galveston in 1981. He insisted on buying every drink my crew or I had. He had some real big fellows that doubled as bodyguards with him too. I was a boat captain in the gulf oilfields at the time. Real Gentleman, no kidding.
Always been a fan of Mr. Adair since I first saw a story about him many years ago.
Red Adair....a true legend.
Are parts 2 thru 4 available?
What a humble & understated man Red Adair was!!!He explains all of this monumental operation in such an understated, matter-of-fact way, as if it was not the big thing it truly was...his way of explaining it, as if it were an old-time yarn, is truly wonderful!!!!
