Would this be suitable for a pulley system, or is it better to use something that doesn't splice so easily if there's going to be friction and the use of a progressive capture device?
If there is going to be friction through the system you might be better with a covered rope with a dyneema core. That way you'll still get the strength but also protection against wear. If the rope is going into a cleat we would definitely recommend using a covered rope. Something like our Kingfisher Evolution Race rope would work well, this is available in 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm diameters, here is the link to the 4mm which is the most popular. www.sailingchandlery.com/products/4mm-dyneema-kingfisher-evolution-race-rope

T3 has the quick release - how is the security on the T5?
There is no quick release on the T5, it is all straps so you need to climb into the harness and then tighten the straps.

Yes you can but I've personally never needed to. Providing the surface is dry and clean it sticks and stays in place.

Would this be good to wear while sailing a waszp
The Waszp is quite a physical boat, so I think this would make you too warm to be honest. This is ideal for when you come off the water and want to retain some heat, or in between races on a long championship day. They sure don't make gloves like the used to. I used to be fanatical about Gill gloves by they've since fallen in quality. I hear a lot of reviews complaining the Gill Pro gloves are uncomfortable. In your honest opinion is this a failing of the glove or you feel the average sailor does not spend enough time breaking them in? What is the break in time? What in your opinion is the best sailing glove on the market?
I have to be honest, we've not had any complaints about the Gill Pro sailing gloves, especially around quality. When choosing a pair of sailing gloves you've really got to think about the type of sailing you'll be doing, also look at what other sailors in a similar boat are using. My personal favourite in the Gill sailing gloves are the Championship gloves, they are a little lighter but not as hard wearing as the Pro.
@@sailingchandlery I've been using 'Championship' Gloves since the early 2000's. They took a huge downturn in quality a few years back. Used to be real high quality leather. I notices my barely used championship gloves were already falling to tatters from light usage. It really sank my heart to see how far the glove industry has regressed. Anyways - I'll try the pro's sometime. Thanks for the Reply!

Hiker review will be coming soon, we have the Microfleece version in stock. Whether you choose a hiker wetsuit vs pads depends on how often you swap your wetsuit, types of boats you are sailing and your budget. If you are constantly changing wetsuits and not always on a hiking boat then the powerpads are a great solution, if you are always sailing a hiking boat then the hikers would be a great option.

Hi! I think there may be a problem with the chart size? Because I measured my legs and from some fellow sailors and the size on B for me is 420mm and in A 660mm Which means none of the sizes would fit me when i do have other versions of these pads and no problem with the fitting

That size is an XL I believe. These come up true to size, I would usually wear a large t-shirt and XL jacket.

I have been trying to find information on a pair of splicing tools I was given in a New England Ropes tube. They look like knitting needles at one ent (blunt point) and at the back end where your fids are hollow, these are solid with a brass hook. I don't see anyone posting instructions on how to use those. Any help?
