Kart Racing
Course club SH karting, Briggs Senior, heat 2 septembre 2024
11th to 11th with 30lbs overweight. I was 9th for a while but the top speed difference between me and the lighter guys got me. I broke out my old CRG this time, and for a kart with so many miles it was handling surprisingly good. But the driving is so different to what I'm used to that I was making small mistakes and not really getting 100% from the chassis.

Started 8th and finished 4th. I was having brake problems witch caused me to make many mistakes in braking zones. Also the kart didnt feel right all week end, after this race we found out the chassis had a major crack at the intersection close to the motor mount, and also had 5 minor cracks in other places. Considering the field of 31 drivers that were there I think I did allright! Congratulati...

Another good practice. Once again I was the heaviest so I worked hard. After passing #847 I set my sights on #7 hopping he'd make a mistake but he made none! Then the track started gripping to much for my setup and I couldn't catch up. Still enjoyable as always

Fun practice at SH! The other guys were on senior weight so I had to work pretty hard to overcome the weight difference, made for a good show!

Started first and finished fourth. I really wanted the win and during the last lap I was so fucused on the leader that I forgot to look behind! Turns out the guys were closer than I thought. Great racing from all of them!

We got a red flag on lap 2 and the multiple "stop and go" destroyed almost everyone's clutch. And to crown it all, #816 climbed on me after the restart and tore off my air filter and front bumper witch gave me a 5sec push-back penalty. Go pro runs out of battery, but when the clutch finally came in after 5 laps I climbed back up to 9th place and closed in on the pack.

Started 2nd and finished 2nd. Video cuts at the worst moment, but after I passed #490 I knew I had to start pushing hard, so I started pushing #422 and our times droped by 0.5 seconds as we created a small gap. I waited for an opportunity to pass #422 at the end, and I was in first place right before the last chicane, but since the flagman forgot to show us the last lap I did not protect my pos...

Started 2nd but I made made the mistake of not protecting my line before the last chicane and it cost me the win. Still a very enjoyable race!

I qualified 5th and then I won heat #1 but I got pushed off track twice in heat #2. In this feature race I started 6th and I was flying and going for the win but I got wrecked out again.

I don't see why you got penalized for exceeding track limits on the outside of the hairpin, you "penalized" yourself from simply going wide and actually lost a position naturally. But it seemed like you were 4 wheels off on the inside before the hairpin. Regardless, you didn't gain any advantage, you actually lost ground, so I don't understand the penalty.
je pense comme Kris, ta vraiment ete large dans le hairpin mais tu as perdu du temps... une pénalité cest lorsquil a un gain non ?
Il est arrivé quoi au début?
Le cable a gaz a brisé au niveau de la pédale donc j'ai fini la course en le tirant avec ma main droite et en conduisant avec la gauche

Très content. On les a eu en fin de saison et on les a amener les 3 en avant! les 3 team mates on a eu chacun notre trophée en seulement 2 courses

had enough of the CRG? why the chassis switch ?
After 4500km with the crg it's not good anymore and it was killing the engine in slow corners. So now I'm trying different karts to see what i'll buy next season
@@briggsmasterqc fair enough, wasn’t sure your chassis’s year or if it was a 2/4 stroke. I’m using a FS4 this season so it catches my attention when I see CRG drivers in different chassis
