ああ浦！浦！　の浦ってなんだろうってずっと思っていたのですが、吉増剛造さんの解説で、ある大きな女性像のようなものだと仰っていて、なるほどと納得しました。調べるとulaとはラテン語で女性を意味する？(よく知りませんが)らしいですね。

朔太郎は晩年文語体の詩集を出した。親友の三好達治が大反対したらしいが受け入れなかったそうだ。録音後の写真が残っている、この映像より老けた感じだが、最晩年は痩せてしまって別人のような感じだ。

笑ってしまいましたが、 月に吠えるの序にある通り、 「言葉や文章では言ひ現はし(ママ)がたい複雑した特種の感情を、私は自分の詩のリズムによって表現する。 そのリズムを無言で感知することのできる人とのみ私は手を取って語り合ふことができる。」 とあるので、少し真面目に考えてみると、 プラトンの言うところの美の真実在への憧れへの飛翔を 春の夜に聞こえてくるいみじき笛の音に聞いた朔太郎。 またその笛の音を、仏が感じたであろう涅槃の世界の情緒にも聞いていた。キリシタンかと思っていたが、宗派というよりは宗教の妙についていくつか歌ったものがあるので、 その笛の音を思い、わざとお経のようなリズムで読んでいたのかなと思いました。 (独自のテンポやリズムによるディオニュソス的陶酔の想起) とか言いつつもやっぱり笑ってしまう(笑) 貴重な音源ありがとうございました。

萩原朔太郎の肉声が聴けるとは! ユーチューブ様々です。 自分は、パソコンを持たず、スマホも若葉マークなので、感動も、ひとしおです。 ただ、朔太郎さん、端正な顔立ちに、ちょっと似合わないお声でしょうか? その昔、彼の詩の原理という本を読んだことがありますが、高校生の自分にも、それほど難解なものではなく、内容が素晴らしく、大変読み応えがあったと記憶しています。

ひどく淡々とした感じだな。著者たる立場を弁へて特定の解釈を強ひることがないやうにせんと欲したのではないであらうか。

I first heard this song on an album of French Cabaret Music that my Father used to play on his radiogram. I found it enchanting and haunting, a tune that has never been forgotten. My wife is French, who remembers and has seen Tino Rossi, Edith Piaf, Charles Trenet and the other great French Cabaret Artists. When I listen to this song, the years roll back, I am 76, to the teenager listening in the lounge of our home in Hendon. I hope that our daughters will derive as much pleasure from the CD of French Cabaret Music, which includes this number, as we do.

I was given a biography of Kathleen Ferrier as a Sunday School Prize in the 1960s. So pleased not to get a religious book, I read it from cover to cover repeatedly, fascinated by the story. When I finally heard her voice years later on LP record I was not disappointed. The personality that comes through the voice is extraordinary. It's this sort of voice that stops sacred music being so ethereal it can't connect with human warmth and suffering.

For those interested, listen to her only known(?) live recording of Gluck in Amsterdam in 1951. I think she is the BEST Contralto I have heard, ever.

Nobody else is gonna mention that I Just Called to Say I Love You by Stevie Wonder sounds waaaaay too similar to this? I know this is older come on! but I did some research and there's no evidence of what was the inspiration for Stevie, it only says he originally wrote it.

朔太郎の声は、こういう声でしたか！この声があの詩を読んだのですか？？、感ずる、彼の詩の深みが益々豊かになる気がする。私はこのリズムが朔太郎の創作リズムなのだと理解した。彼の詩作のリズムが分る、素晴らしい録音でした。ＵＰ有難う御座います。

詩人が、よくこの録音を残してくれたと感謝しています。 ですが、 大詩人に、こんなこと言っちゃ大変失礼だと思いますが、 ヘタだなあ～！ これじゃ、どんなオーディションも落ちるでしょう。 あ、私は朔太郎とその作品にいささかもケチなどつけるのではありません。 中学時代に知ったときから、好きとか嫌いとか言うことさえもむずかしいほど私の精神の深層の根幹にしっかりと組み込まれてしまった詩人ですので。 自分の文学作品を朗読する場合、ヘタとか上手とかの評価は意味を持ちませんね。 そんなことより、なにしろ作った本人が「音読」してくれていることが、最大の価値です。 （それでも、上手な方がいいだろう、とは思いますけどね） しかし、他の人が朗読する場合は、もちろんこれを真似してはいけませんが。 驚いたのは、酒場を「さけば」と読んでますね。 といっても、私は東京人なので、周囲はみんな「さかば」派なのですが。 関東一帯から日本全国では、かえって「さけば」のほうがポピュラーなのかもしれませんね。
