This old BQ would like to see this uniform combination filed under things we did once and didn't like, and never do it again.

At the corner angle, I cannot understand the pattern 1:53. That is the fault of the band director. The band did its job, the videographer did his fine job, but not the band director. A good idea is that when a game is so poorly attended, as the empty seats show, a person should move to the 50-yard line and video the band from the back of the seats or even at an empty seat. I would have preferred a rehash of an older pattern that this new pattern. I do not think that this pattern was performed at the Thanksgiving 2024 game. It seems that this performance was shorter than others in 2024. Maybe because it is a bowl game. Mayber not. / This is a good video.

No doubt they put in as many practice hours as does the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band -- but I suggest the conditions are not nearly as rigorous, nor are the consequences for fouling up during the drill.

The jumbo screen verified a thought I had. The Trojan Band even wear sunglasses inside a dome stadium at night. Have to keep up that Sunny Southern California image I guess.

That would be... YELL PRACTICE. Cougar High, TCU and t.u. have "pep rallies" for their sleazy Non-reg frat rats and air-headed cookie pushers. The Ags conduct YELL PRACTICE. Note that those lesser collegians have skippy-dog little "fight songs." The Ags have a magnificent WAR HYMN.

Wish I could have been there. So exciting !!!

I was born in and live in Ohio. My mother graduated from Texas Christian University, my father graduated from the University of Texas. So it is deeply ingrained into my soul to make fun of the Aggies. All that said, I have nothing but the highest respect for their band. Ohio State’s marching band might have more imaginative halftime routines but the Fightin’ Aggies have a level of precision marching that is absolutely unmatched. Now, excuse while i go wash my hands.

Seeing those uniform white belts makes me remember just how GREAT it was, becoming a White Belt.

Four-way Cross at 4:29. It is too bad that you did not make the video of the actual game. That Aggie Band video on RUclips is just not right. The cadets look jittery and lie ghosts in parts of the video. Maybe test the camera at yell practice when the stadium lights are on and during the day when the cadets are at march-in before the game when it is not night. RUclips search: "Halftime Texas vs. Texas A&M 11/30/2024 The University of Texas Longhorn Band in 4K" An example of an excellent halftime video. I would not take video on the field while the cadets are marching, but the footage from HIGH in the stadium is excellent.

"On the rims, on the heads!" Clicking the cadence at first, then pounding it out. For some number of years, the Drum Major's step-off warning order to the Band was "O T R, O T H!"

When the school went co-ed, well, let's say it was war! I know. I lived in BCS. The war began when a co-ed whose name I won't mention filed suit against the Corps and the school because she couldn't join. It was bitter. Some folks say when she graduated, members of the faculty and staff on stage refused to shake her hand. According to history, during WW II A&M College was third behind the two service academies in supplying officers. Don't know about today. Perhaps there's a little of the Fiddler on the Roof in some of us when Tevia demands tradition be upheld. Who knows. All of that was some half century ago.

Can you tell me who are the men in white uniforms? Are they medical staff / cadets.

A & M like an alien planet in the universe of college football. Maybe West Point and Annapolis are similar but they have real cadets! Thought the school would lighten up when the girls came in but too many macho male "traditions" for them to overcome.
