Giselle di solito è di una noia insostenibile, quando vedi filmati cosi capisci come dovrebbe essere il balletto. Anche l'orchestra sembra più viva di quelle contemporanee.

Ver a Alicia en esos cambios de posición en la banqueta desde paraíso (balcón más alto del teatro) es algo indescriptible y que no puedo olvidar. Qué suerte he tenido, qué suerte los que también la vieron como yo. Alicia es la Carmen picaresca y fatal del ballet clásico.

Pido escusa a tantas otras grandisimas bailarinas del mundo ,pero para mi la carmen de alicia es especial, ella es carmen..

Lo que muchos no acaban de entender es que Alicia Alonso, como bailarina, es un prodigio. Todo acerca de ella es magia y, sobre todo, sobrenatural, interpretativa y técnicamente. Ella hizo lo que no hizo otra, e incluso su prolongada vida así lo prueba. Larga vida y salud a la gran leyenda del ballet mundial.

si porque el estilo es muy diferente, en Giselle es mas ligero el cuerpo, con torso. Los brazos muy suaves , pero lo que son todos los adagio , a pesar de todo son muy pesados. Las expresiones, las manos y mas que giselle es un personaje muy fragil y nada sencillo de actuar. En cambio en don quixote es mas relax en ese sentido , un poquito mas. Ahi no hay tanto torso , y balanceo de diferentes maneras con tu cuerpo como en giselle. Preparar ese ballet hijole, es tener en cuenta todos los detalles todos y c/u porque un minimo error y es la muerte y peor aun si un critico lo nota

There's a saying attributed to Karsavina "Leave the stage before the stage leaves you". Come to terms with your own limits before others see those limits. Sorry, but Alonso should have quit classical dancing long before reaching Giselle's grandma's age, not to mention great-grandma's age. There's a reason why most female dancers give up Giselle and Juliet by the time they're 42-45. The earlier footage is interesting and one can see why she was considered one of the leading Giselles of her time, but the last bits are embarrassing...

Aurora Bosch was Mirtha, Queen of the Willis, Josefina Mendes and Mirtha Plat were the two Willis and Antonio Gades was Hilarion.
