Haha jigging here in Taupo we can use 3 flies but it's not hugley common for a double.. I've hooked 3 at once but generally you get busted off by 1 or 2
Lovely spot with the Blue Duck a very special spectator - nice respect for the fish too. Interesting that you use a split shot as well as a bomb, I guess it gets you down fast. Hope you have a good summer season on the lake.
thanks for your feedback yeah i always try and look after the fish I haven't taken a fish from the rivers for years now but i am looking forward to the lakes to change things up for a while

for this style 8w 9ft Guideline but I'll change out to a 6w next trip just the fish a pretty full on and ya next to stop em heading for the snags

Hi Rick great to see the lake is providing good trout at the moment. Very weedy down here in Central Hawkes Bay.
Lake Fishing will only improve with the summer / make it easier to catch it'll depend if the food source is there to enable the fish to put on the condition
