Hi Tom Cappels, loved your short film! My uncle, Tom Durston, recommended it to me a while back and I loved it, especially as someone who's an aspiring film maker and made films similar to this. And to see it remastered is so cool! ❤ Also my uncle says hi.
Thanks - Are you still making movies?
Very cool! I really had a blast watching it!🌟😀🥳
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it!
Whats this song called?
Happy 'Cause I'm Coming Home'" by Chicago
Sweet
You two need your own TV show! Hmm.............
From all appearances, the camera was by your dog holding the camera in his mount. Apparently, he was taken with the rhythm of your snappy rendition.
This must be the scene that established the quick-take montage as a comedy standard, which would later be copied by the renowned Frank Oz in Bowfinger (1999) and later Mark David in the classic The Sweetest Thing (2002).
Not only is this a fun film to watch, but the background offeres candid glimpses of the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1960's. Notice the hats on the ladies in the scene in the park? What a joy to watch! Clearly, this was is amateur but one produced with some connections -how did you manage to get a permit to film on San Francisco streets? ]
Its refreshing to see such well-written light-hearted humor retur to youtube. Watching the antics combined with subtle whit makes this an especially enjoyable way to take a break from the work-a-day world.
What a hoot - can't believe you eeked sound out of a mag stripe 8mm reel. And, look: There's Tim (Mr.) Wilson!
Amazing and very entertaining. From the technology and the condition of highway 101, I would guess this was originally filmed in the 1960's. It clearly preceded and set the tone for Bowfinger, but I think I saw a distinctive and very well done Robert Preston Music Man walk in a couple of shots. No doubt, this film will be remembered along with early works of Jerry Lewis and Ron Howard.
