You caught me. At this gym pink is V6 through V8. Probably on the 6 end.

Last you really can't assume that technically it's V6-V8 according to SBP color ranking.

Also I clearly have some decent technique don't I? This was near my max and look at my right arm at 14 seconds. That a V5 max arm!!? But it is not V17 😂😂

You are very close. Pink at this gym is V6-V8. Plus consider socks and mask and that's double digits easily. I'll tell you like I told others, my buddy filming has campused V5 and he couldn't even do the first move of this one. First move was power Cruz, last one was equally hard despite what it looks like but from mostly technique. If you didn't do the last move exactly right it was like hanging of ice.

Sir, everybody knows that Pink at Bouldering Projects are V6-V8. My friend that can campus V4/V5 couldn't even do the first move (which was probably the crux)

Pink at this gym (branches in Washington, Texas, and Minnesota, maybe more) is V6-V8. So def ain't no V5. My buddy can campus V5 and he couldn't even do the first move (which was actually one of the hardest).

Look at the date. It was the rule in nearly every climbing gym in the country at the time.

The lowest pink at Seattle Bouldering Project is V6. The really hard moves on the one was the first move and the last. Well the last was the beta had to be perfect. First move was very high tension. I think V6 is fair but with socks at least V16 minimum.

I actually skipped a few myself because I was inspired by Stefani Ghisolfi skipping V15 and v16 to try burden of dreams

why do I feel like a real route setter wouldn't genuinely believe that a gym graded something indoor V17?

V4? No way. First of all at SBP pink is V6-V8. So let's say this is a soft V6, that's still miles from a V4. But even as a soft V6, with socks that easily goes to V16 at a MINIMUM.

I ain't ever set a route but I'm certain there isn't anything above a v12 in indoor gyms unless they're Olympic level boulders which I don't think actually get graded because they're of a different style and meant to be learnt within the 5 min period. From what I've seen around, the gym I climb at seems to grade things 1-2grades easier than most gyms. Idk why it's so tough but at least I know when I send a v5 that it was definitely a v5

One of the best comments so far. Pink at SBP is V6-V8. But my understanding is climbing in socks adds ten grades. So maybe I was a little overzealous at V17, but V16 at least. 😉

After reading everybody's comments, I think it's probably closer to V15 or 16. But I think with my socks you gotta give it to me. But are you referring to how I pulled from the ground?

It was actually a V6 at the least (pink V6-V8). But in socks = V17-V19

I don't believe you. This is a V6 minimum at Seattle Bouldering Project (pinks are V6-V8). But with my socks are what bumped it up to V17.

More of a v4 than a 3. Sbp is famously soft
