Bike repairs ZBC SA
Добавлен 7 ноя 2020
Sharing my experience attempting to perform bike repairs with higher degrees of difficulty. For the past few years I've done "basic" repairs and adjustments. Now that I've invested in a Park Tool PRS 3.2-2 I'm ready for mid level repairs as well as a build from the frame up.
Removing Single Speed Chain with Master Link
Removing the clip from the master link does not require special tools just good old pliers. I used needle nose pliers in this video.

If you ride with a worn chain it will wear down your chainring and sprockets.

Park Tool PRS-3.2-2 Repair Stand with 100-3D Clamp assembly -Used my own steel base plate which was $45 instead of purchasing Park Tool's base plat for $229.95
The tool tray screw is a set screw and is screwed into contact with the tub. It does not go through the height holes! Never clamp the frame of a bike. You have to use a seat post. Clamping the frame will destroy it.
The camera mounted on your head creates sea-sickness in viewers. Lol
On of my first RUclips videos 😅.
Bro thanks for the base measurement, is it possible if you can take measurememts of the arm that protrudes from the base
Ditch the music
Do you have view how the bottom plate mount ?
If you purchase the actual park tool base it has 4 pre drilled holes. In my scenario I purchased a steel plate and had to drill the 4 holes. The steel plate was less than $100 compared to park tools currently priced around $270.
Just got mine last night. Going to use it for the first time today. Can't wait!
This term is used way too often but highly applies in this case, it’s a game changer!
@@bikerepairszbcsa6950 I bet. I was surprised at how solid it is with the heavy steel base. Once my eMTB is in, it is rock solid and won't budge at all. Thanks for the video! Helped me make the decision to buy.
I'm picking one of these up tomorrow....
The screw for the tool tray shouldn’t go into one of the holes of the tube. You should put the tray wherever you want it and then tighten the screw against the tube. Hope this will help you get a more stable tool tray.
Thank you!
@@bikerepairszbcsa6950 Glad I could help! I’m thinking of building my own version using the wall mounted clamp but I would still like it to be compatible with Park Tool accessories, could you measure the tube diameters of the two poles for me in millimeter?
@@henrikhedberg5922 50.8 and 44.5 for the poles that attach to the base. I used a digital caliper which mentions + - 1 mm. If you need any other measurements let me know.
@@bikerepairszbcsa6950 How thick are these tubes?
@@henrikhedberg5922 the tube thickness is 2.9mm. Please keep in mind all the measurements giving only apply to the tubes that connect the base to the tube that receives the clamp including the thickness. If you want the measurements for the tube that receives the clamp let me know.
Twerk it!!
🤣 I know. Couldn’t shake of the nervousness. I think I said 2 foot instead of 2 feet when I was measuring, lol.
@@bikerepairszbcsa6950 you need more beer. Lol
