@calebfwm Long story … But it stems from a childhood trauma. Hard to explain to the street vendors. Like when I was living in Bangkok and still grappling with my Thai language - the subtle difference between ไก่ / ki (chicken) and ไข่ / khi (egg), I had to resolve to gestures of slashing my neck to make sure they don’t get it wrong 😂. In the early days, I only got a plateful of Phad Thai with all eggs and no chicken 🥴. Lamyai!!!

Like all the temples and statues built for the Buddha, they cannot mean Buddha did have supernatural powers. They can only mean Buddha has plenty of believers. That is, all the Cheng Ho believers cannot make him do what he had not done.
