i've been using packing paper. Gesso thickens it up as well as paint. I even use the brown packing paper. I love your journals and have learned a lot from your videos. This is certainly a project to work outside..

I bought distressed oxide sprays but haven't used them yet...definitely going to do this. Love love the look of these. Thanks so much for sharing this tutorial...I especially love the results of the last batch of papers revealed that were dipped in the tea first then sprayed. 🥰 Gorgeous!!

If I didn't know any better I'd think k you came over and raided my stash! Lol I think that means we have very similar tastes and uses. I love the haul (I have a lot of these things too). I've been using clothes pins for my trim and I've filled four big bins. Its so much easier to use now! Have fun with your goodies! ~Velvet

Our paper in New Zealand (80 gm copy paper) is too rubbish to get them this wet, they fall to pieces. I sprinkle a few instant coffee crystals on them and spray water on it, or dip the edges in fluid or distress spray the edges, or "spill" some coffee/whatever on the draining tray and quickly touch the paper to it. Saves on drying time too, it you use less water.😊 Thanks for the video, inspiring!!!🥰🥰🥰

My niece loves owls so I had to watch this (new subscriber from your recent tea-dye, ink spraying, crumpling up paper process video!). I don’t have a die-cut machine but I could definitely do the flip-up owl card. I could maybe do the fold-out one as well but that would require a lot more precise drawing & measuring!
