Beautiful drone footage please follow me
Mr. Toomey taught me ear training/sight singing and jazz improv at ODU 97-2000... I think the bass player was in my class too! Gosh yall are still together, AWESOME!
That vibrato is unmatched! Gorgeous tone.
Whomever did this overhead area video failed to show the westside of the campus. This video shows the football area, eastside, and the center of the campus which also shows a little of Lambert's Point in the back, but the video completely fails to show the entire campus. This would have been an excellent video if they just showed the Whitehurst-Powhatan Ave. area.
Beautiful. I still can't believe he's gone.
"Leave them wanting more..." (Short!)
First time I am hearing lyrics to this song. Wonderful harmonies. Where are they based?
Norfolk VA, Old Dominion University. Thank you! I have written over 60 arrangements over the years for the group.
Thank Peter it was beautiful I can see Marilyn Play the piano
Yeah John, beautiful!
Thanks for taking the time to put your gift and your passion into this piece!! You have captured Marilyn’s spirit and enthusiasm for music and teaching students. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing.
John, Beautiful performance of Marilyn's favorite. Your musicianship is incredible. So grateful for your friendship and support for Marilyn. You are the best. -Peter Forman
So beautiful.
Love it
Love it, well done
Too too good 😍 the purest voice with a vibrato that anyone would be envious of loved this
I like how it's a beautiful piece but in the middle it sounds somewhat eerie
beautifully swingin’.
Very epic video love it
Snap...
The wii resort lick @ 3:34
Beautiful.
This angle is incredible😍 are you using a drone? Great fade in and out as well!! We are also tennis players and would love to welcome you to our tennis channel as well👍💪🎾
Thanks so much. Yes using a Mavic Air 2; forgot to change the white balance setting, so in post used B and W, which seemed to turn out ok..
Love!
Masterful
Nice video!!
Wonderful harmony! Thank you for sharing.
Nimble fingers that float across the sea of keys. Thank you for opening a YT account. Mesmerizing to watch the mirrored reflection of your talent.
Nice!
You still the man with the golden touch😃
I always loved watching you shred on the keys Toomey!
Thanks for joining YT. I cant wait to see more!!!
Nice!
super good!
...percussion NOT necessary !
Seemed to work for the Manhattan Transfer (which this arrangement is from)...... I think you are probably hearing the drums too present in this mix due to the quick transient response of the condenser mics.....
@@jazzprof1 Lol, found this looking for alternatives to the original or to Manhattan Transfer and immediately thought it started like Manhattan Transfer's. Nice!
Wow, that is one BIG bunny!!!
I love the added 5/4 bar!
Great view and great music, looks a little like your neighborhood (except for the boats and slips) - love the quick cameo at the close!
John cannot be the John Toomey who played with Maynard Ferguson?! You two get an "A" from this teacher. I have a "who does he sound like" for you....check him out, Martial Solal.
Pretty cool video John
Beautiful!
hmmm..is he related to Lou Toomey, former guitarist for Brookes & Dunn?
The sing was too fast on some parts. The blend was pretty good for the most part but you all had a very classical sound. It's a romantic song. There weren't dynamics either. There is awesome potential but remember to have some more emotion.
The Cd of John Toomey and Laura Martier is one of my favs.
you guys sound so good. i wish the sound were better.
