When high-end gun makers team up with luxury manufacturers from other industries, the result is always something incredible. The limited number of the Montblanc Meisterstück Great Masters Limited Edition 81 marks the year 1881, when Purdey moved to Audley House in London’s Mayfair and where it is still situated to this day. With a nod to gun design, the cap is secured with a safety and the clip is styled as a top lever. The white solid gold cap has been intricately engraved by hand with a Large Scroll pattern and enhanced with a solid yellow gold inlay of "The Bear". Blackening, a technique shared by both Montblanc and Purdey highlights the beauty of the metal engraving and adds depth to the elegant design. The gold of the cap contrasts with the Turkish walnut wood of the barrel, decorated with chequering and hand-applied finishes.
