Installing psc hydro assist steering on my 2005 Powerstroke 6.0 f250. I recently installed the big bore redhead steering box and that still wasn't enough for me to be able to turn my 40x15.50x20 inch tires. Installing the ram made a world of difference! Does your air filter minder get sucked shut while WOT? I have an S&B on my 03 & It sucks the minder shut. I may go back to my stock air filter since I still have it.
So the whole system now runs on SWEPCO hydraulic fluid including the hydro boost?

I know that ox lockers have always been cable actuated but never knew they started air actuated i dont think it will be as reliable as the original but ill be lookin at how it goes .. safe travel's bro👍
What’s the reason you did the upgrade for?
I mainly did it to see if I could improve shift performance. Turns out you can do this with tuning as long as your stock solenoids are in good shape. If you have to replace them, it doesn't hurt to do the upgrade.

Sir during the video you were skeptical as to the difference of one of the new selinoids, and its shaky construction. Didnt seem any different than the one u pulled out. Did this upgrade help? Was the cost worth it?
It mainly just looked a little different. It worked fine in the end. As far as it being worth it, I would say no if you are having no issues. If you want to change your solenoids as a part of routine maintenance, then I would say it couldn't hurt to upgrade. As much as I pound on my transmission, assuming it would need a rebuild soon, it just keeps on ticking. I have a video on my Kill Devil stage 2 motor that shows the type of power I'm putting through it.

I appreciate your video. The first few minutes described my symptoms perfectly. I had narrowed it down to either not enough oil or IPR. It only cuts out on coasting or pulling up to a stop. However, it ran an hour at 55-70MPH. I was finally able to figure that it wasn’t cam/crank sync, alternator, battery, FICM, etc. it was hard to reproduce as by the time I went to check with the SG2, it would start right up. When it wouldn’t restart IPR was calling for 84 and ICP wouldn’t go past 256. I confirmed it wasn’t ICP by pulling the connector and running with expected ICP and it still wouldn’t start until about 10-15min. On Sunday, I was at Wendy’s drive-thru and turned off the engine to speak, and it would t start back up. After pushing it, it started back up and drove and hour and back without ever stalling. Yesterday, it stalled 3 times before getting on the expressway and didn’t stall again until I reached a stop sign.

@@maadtrukz2861 I was able to change the IPR valve. The screen on the old one was split and it was the newer style. However, I can't confirm that I didn't damage it taking it out with a pick since it was stuck after pulling out the IPR. It hasn't stalled since with the new OEM IPR. Before installing the new IPR, I did an air pressure test using the IPR location. I heard nothing. I tested the old IPR's ability to open and close and while that did function I couldn't test its functionality when extremely hot. While working on the vehicle, I also changed all the glow plugs/harnesses as two of the plugs were confirmed bad. Now I'm ready for winter and the check engine light is gone. I will probably check for any current codes in a few weeks.

Best mod I’ve done so far to mine is leaving the 5”MBRP Cat Back on and putting a performance ultra high flow cat on. Sounds absolutely amazing and you really hear that turbo spool. Ifykyk

So why did you have to work on the valve body? What was the truck doing? I got a 2005 4x4 F250 6.0 . Transmission seems to shift fine and a little hard but I have a tune on it to make it do it. For the past year it wants to down shift kinda harder when I got to slow down and I think it’s from 3rd to second or second to 1 not really sure but somewhere on the region it downshifts harder . Not sure what the problem is. I do have a part from throughbreed diesel called the transmission saver plug but never installed it either. Any thoughts would help

I hoped you'll show c8.25 ox locker. It is built differently as far as I know (center pin design). I'm wondering if they solved the issue that you have to grind off teeth to get the center pin in with higher gear ratios (e.g. 4.56)

Yes, for sure. With the adjustable track bar you can adjust either way you need.

When I’ve looked for airbags for my truck they sit on the arm that comes off the side of the factory lift block. I’d like to go to larger blocks and run airbags. Any info would be great. My 06 f350 6.0L transmission doesnt downshift to 2nd gr but will upshift to 2nd. Could it be a shift solenoid? Yes mine has the 5r110. Truck has 179k miles
