Thank you for explaining what ‘on alignment’ means. I started GBL’ing 2 seasons back and every time a YT’er says it I kinda had an idea what it meant but now I get why it’s named that lol

I’m using this team but with Guzzlord instead of Primeape. Currently at 2822

I hit Veteran today (which is pretty much my highest aspiration for any season) with an utterly shameful team of Claydol (recommended moves), Shadow Gothitelle (Charm, Future Sight, Rock slide) and Shadow Gardevoir (Charm, Triple Axel, Shadow Ball.) Half the players I was up against never even used a shield. I felt a bit ashamed of myself with every win. Against nearly anything that the Claydol doesn't absolutely wreck, you swap in the Gothitelle. Gothitelle takes super effective from dark, but she does super effective right back. Poison resists Charm, but she resists poison. Then just try to read the team and figure out where to use your shields. I'm deeply ashamed of each and every win, but it got me to Veteran!

Can you use primape without cross chop?

When you say to throw on the odd turns 1, 3, 5, 7... What does that mean? Does that mean I do two fast moves and then throw my charged move to do it on 3? Or do I do three fast moves and then throw to do it on 3? Or because my fast move is three turns then throwing on 3 means..??? Just trying to learn! Love your videos!

I used a team consisting of shadow skuntank, g. Moltres with wing attack and claydol, went 20-5 today!

Is the 14-15-15 Malamar recommended or are you intentionally using an attack weighted one?

I never considered any other moveset. Spammy and non-debuffing works for me.

I don’t have a shadow drif

I finally got to expert on Saturday, and after reaching expert, I started using your Dunsparce, shadow Drifblim, and shadow Jumpluff team, and I climbed up to just under 2950 elo which is the highest I've ever been! I'm really hoping I can hit legend before the cups change tomorrow. That team also works well against teams that have Primeape or Annihilape in the back 😁

i will build a team to counter people (who build a team to counter ape) 😂😂😂😂

Don't feel bad about losses: Us viewers gain almost as much info. This is an ANTI-APE meta. Every creator warned about Annihilape for days.

PvPoke calling it the #1 safe switch is sus imo. Nothing that frail with a massive debuff nuke is good on the safe switch. Esp when a Wiggly or Shadow Golurk can just come in and farm you down.

I was with a group of 20 people and when we get kicked out we just kept going anyway. We would most likely lose but it would still be good practice for everyone cause there were a lot of people who didnt know how gmax works. It was important to keep going so people would realize how hard they were so everyone would understand why we have to wait for everyone. We would also sometimes win and this is good too so everyone who joined the first raid now all have Gmax Gengar they can use on the next raid. Then some people leave after the first one which is perfect because they will be replaced by others who got kicked out. Most of the time people stayed because of either peer pressure or they actually had fun taking it down. Communication is also key. We were able to beat Gmax Charizard with 15 accounts (some alts just for cheer) and Gengar as low as 8 accounts. We were using level 40 dmax, it is doable but you need to be locked in and also some bit of luck is needed with the movesets.

Did you do gmax Gengar on the first day? There were a lot of glitches at the start but it was much smoother by the last day.

in my experience, we had roughly 30 players (during both the atarters and gengar), gengar went smoothly, the starters went about as bad as it could. androids kept crashing/hidding ui because of glitches etc and overall just poor implementation but im hopeful they will make it easier/better

Giving gmax raids a fair chance here I know rural players wouldn't be able to do much but at least these gmax pokemon aren't required tho which at least is nice you won't miss anything if you don't do them. The bugs definitely need to be fix for sure the lobby bugs the random bans and others. The gmax changes were nice such as making the raid a bit easier the pokemon easier to catch and the 25k stardust you get which is also nice. Overall I don't think gmax is bad at all since you won't miss anything if you don't do them but if people do them niantic should really fix the bugs since these raids aren't just "tap the screen until you win" anymore it actually requires strategy and teamwork which is fun not a bad feature honestly just hope they patch out the bugs.

@taffy, did you do any gigantamax char, blast or venes? Or was gengar the first

Congrats on the Legend rank! I've been running in the 2500s for a while, and have slowly tanking the ELO - gone down 300 in 3 days - no team seems to work for me haha - great suggestions though!
