Hi if it’s not a problem could you list all the tools you used to make these and also with these woodworking tools other things can definitely be made with using them as well correct ? I’m very new to this and I’m very very interested in getting into this myself

Why didn't follow the wood grain (of the veneer) when you applied the stain?

Had been trying to figure out which jig to build for miter spline. Just completed the spline for a box on a table saw. Thought it works, the set up takes a bit of time. I'll built this jig.

Stacking the denim for the second ring was a great idea. Look at the beautiful wave patterns in that ring! How much are rings for larger fingers? My ring finger is 9cm/90mm around

It was good to see that you didn’t edit out the mishaps and well done for finishing it. As I’m sure you now know, don’t use household bleach on furniture. Either use a dedicated two part wood bleach or oxalic acid, but read and follow the safety precautions carefully.

Beautiful restoration. One question: On a piece that old, should the paint be tested for lead content? I do not restore furniture, but enjoy watching videos of those who do, and I’ve often seen older pieces being tested for lead paint. Again, you did a beautiful job on this piece.

Why did you use waxed paper? Plastic wrap is much better, it stays closed because it clings to itself and provides an air proof covering, waxed paper does not.

Just an FYI... I have the same chest, and the lock and seal on this chest has a recall for kids hiding in the chest and not surviving. I'm pretty sure you can actually still get the updated and safe Lane lock for this chest from the recall.

The biscuit joiner I have cuts (and I assume most are the same) 5/8” deep at its largest setting. This depth of cut works for 1/2” stock and less. This is a jig you would use for box’s and thinner stock projects. For applications like that, the splines would give enough strength

Hey, glad YT recommended your channel to me! I think some parts of the video need to be sped up, like those with clamping or applying tape. Especially at the beginning, where fresh viewer is most easily discouraged. There is some mic noise very obvious at the beginning. You can use a denoiser ( eg RTX voice is awesome) and add light background music to cover it up. Best of luck!

You need to use more paint stripper. Put on a thick coat. Painting on a little bit will just dry before it has time to loosen/activate the paint. I've used the orange stripper and that has worked for me.

Hello from Greece. it would be much better , for you , to use 15 minutes Quick Spripper. You have to apply a thick coat of it and lett it work for about 15-20 min. Then with a flexy putty knife you can remove all the paint or old finish. For better results you can use a plastic wrap and cover it as it works. My best wishes for health and great , upcoming , projects.
