Our stethoscope lab plus mechanics group coursework were probably the two biggest things we had on our plate this term - definitely learned lots building the electronic stethoscope; mechanics was…. pain hahahaha and you won’t see a sight of me doing mechanics in this video because I never think to film when doing mechanics but a...

I got an interview for a Master's program and I am so scared but I'm going to try my best. Thank you so much for this video.
That's helpful- thanks for sharing with us !!
Congrats 🎉
Thanks! :)
Nice video dude✌️ keep on posting your video
Thank you~
Hey, could you please share your resources for chem, Physics, math and eng?
Hi, sorry for the late reply! I actually have a website where I compiled IB resources so feel free to check that out: an-ib-alumnus.netlify.app Hope this helps! :)
I just got the interview email today. Really helpful video. Thank you so much!
Best of luck! Glad I could be of help :)
I have an interview soon for Biomedical engineering and I am nervous, I am so happy there are videos with experience and tips
Best of luck and I’m glad you found this helpful :)
Hi! The course you applied for was Biomedical Engineering MEng for a duration of 4 years right?
Yes!
Dude there is no guidance on questions for biomolecular engineering I'm scared ;(
thank you so much for this helpful video🌹🌹
My pleasure~
hii I'm an MSc student at imperial and I'm working on RUclips shorts project. Would you be able to give us quick interview about the platform vs tiktok in the UK market? :)
a question, how do you afford a car being a student in London? coming to imperial in a few days for my undergrad so would love some tips!
Hey, so that’s a family car not my own haha! Welcome to Imperial :)
Are there scholarship?
I believe Imperial awards scholarships but unfortunately not to a big number of students. You can look up scholarships provided by Imperial College - they should have a page for it on their website!
@@jessayyou Where can I find this website and when can I apply for this scholarship for the year 2024/2024
You can try exploring this website - www.imperial.ac.uk/study/fees-and-funding/scholarships-search/ - for starters. Hope that helps!
@@jessayyou thank you so much you're so kind ❤❤❤

i also started at imperial last year, i stayed in beit hall and the notices were pretty normal, i dont think anyone managed to put up prank posters, but that notice at 2:30 is absolutely wilddd lmaooo 😭😭😭
They woke up that day and chose violence😭😭😭
Thanks so much for making this video! I have an offer for biochemistry this upcoming September and the only thing pushing me back about kemp porter is the commute, specially if classes start very early or finish very late (or both). Would you happen to know anything about the biochem timetables, or just general thoughts on such a long commute? Thanks!
Hey congrats on your offer! I’m not sure about biochem timetables but I think most courses probably have their first lectures/labs/etc. at 9 or 10. As for when they end, I believe schedules are supposed to fall between 9am to 4/5pm. Club/society events usually run late since they start after classes end and if you’re interested in horizons(extra modules), they end at 6pm. I personally like my sleep haha so I would opt for halls with shorter commutes but if you’re fine with waking up earlier, then why not! If you’re going home late and are worried about safety, I suggest you go with a friend when it’s dark out. Another thing to note about KP is that you’d have to depend on public transport where strikes and delays are possible - I know some people who would prefer to mot have that uncertainty. Hope that helps and good luck on your first year! :)
@@jessayyou Thank you so much for the help!! Have a nice summer :))
My pleasure :) You too!!
@@jessayyou Hi there! I'm an incoming BME first year & I'd like to know more about our course's timetables and schedules (how are we have classes in a week, labs etc). Thanks in advance!
Hello! In first year, we had study groups on Mondays and lectures for the rest of the week, and for certain classes we also had labs once a week. Congrats and good luck for the incoming academic year :)
hi! im currently doing my 2nd year of ib and i wanted to ask if you have done anything to add on to ur portfolio while doing ur diploma in preparation for uni applications?
Hey there! I was initially aiming for US universities so I did various extracurriculars but UK unis don’t value those as much far as I know. Things you could do though include taking courses, doing projects, being in clubs etc. that are related to your major. Anything I could relate to my major I wrote about in my personal statement! Hope that helps somehow :)
hey is the piano u played in imperial college or elsewhere
It’s in the music room in Wilson house which is Imperial accommodation!
Hey Jessay. Just out of curiosity. I have a question if you don’t mind? Why does the Chinese new year tradition require you to cut your hair? What is the impact?
It’s considered bad luck to cut your hair during the Chinese New Year period so I guess that’s why it’s become a tradition to get a haircut before it!
haha because if you cut your hair during those days, your uncle, mom's brother, would die.
thanks for sharing!
always love a good shot from the plane! keep it up.
Make more vids
great video, I hope you're used to the london life now. would love an update video if you ever get any free time to make one.
Hey, how did manage the accommodation? Any suggestions for those who are coming in September 2023
Hello! I’m at Wilson and if you’re gonna be at the old building the bathrooms are always out of order and a lot of the radiators don’t work which is misery during winter🥶 Obviously could just use other house’s toilets and get a portable heater but a lot of things are definitely not working quite often which is inconvenient. It is however a walkable distance from campus and not too close to cost a fortune hahaha. Kemp Porter is probably the best hall if you’re fine with travel expenses and risks of transport strikes - I would personally choose KP if I could choose again. If you want somewhere that’s super close to campus you could go for Eastside/Westside/Beit though they’re pretty costly. Hope that helped!
*You can borrow a portable heater from Wilson if your radiator isn’t working
hey what was the name of the song u played on the piano?? It seems so familiar but I cant remember what it is
It’s River Flows in You by Yiruma!
@@jessayyou ooooh yes thxxx
thank you!! I just got the invitation email today and im terrified! It is also on the same day as my chemistry mock exam, and I have my maths mock the next day 😭. These tips were very useful, I will try to prepare as much I can for the generic questions. Praying that it goes well!! 🙏🏾 edit: I GOT AN OFFER THANK GOD! just need to get the grades now 😫
I know exactly how you’re feeling, haha. Prepare yourself well enough so you feel good and ready on the day because being nervous messes with your mind and you won’t be able to think straight! Enjoy the process and don’t worry too much!! Best of luck to you :)

Could you make a video about some study tips for math AA?
Hey! Not sure if I have enough info to do a video on it but I’ll write some down here! I usually go on Mr Mac Maths if I want to review topics, there are really good concise notes on this site and then Revision Village for practice questions. Revision Village is paid for most topics though so I just look up past papers. Hope that helps :)

Hi! I have received the invitation of an online interview today and my interview is scheduled on 6/2. Your video is very useful and I have a stronger understanding on the group task☺. As you've mentioned in the last video, the interviewer asked you questions about your personal statement. May I know if the interviewer focus on your experience or the theory behind? Thx :))
They focused on your motivation to study the subject in one part of the interview and theory in another part, so I would suggest you prepare for both!
@@jessayyou Do you think it would be a great disadvantage if I didn’t take biology ; ; I am afraid that they will ask me some biological questions…
@@煙嵐雲岫 hellooo ive also got an interview soon and I dont do biology. I do maths, further maths, physics and chem. dont worry at all about that. they see what subjects you take and they ONLY ask around that!!
Hey! Sorry for the late response. You don’t have to worry about that, Biology isn’t in a prerequisite for BME. I had a question that was related to Biology but there was no need for background knowledge or anything like that. I didn’t take Biology in grades 11 and 12 either so you’ll be fine!
@@puddleduck1405 thx for your advice!!
Hey! I was just wondering (if you don’t mind sharing🙈) what IB points you got? I saw somewhere in these comments that you did IB ⭐️
Heyy! Yes I did IB and I got a 43 :)
@@jessayyou woaaah that’s amazing well done💗, what subjects did you do?
Thankss haha! I did MAAHL, Physics HL, Chemistry HL, English A Lang&Lit SL, Economics SL and Indonesian B SL!
@@jessayyou woaaaah maths aa HL🥹. How did you find chem HL? I’ve just started my DP2 year😅. Alsooo how are you finding imperial? And what other unis interested you? Sorry for all the questions 🤣🤣
Chem HL was not so bad for me - might’ve been because I had a really good teacher😅 I’m really enjoying it here in Imperial! Challenging to a good degree and a really diverse community of people here. Wanted to go to a UC(Uni of California) but changed my mind because you know, America. For UK my second choice was UCL👍🏼
I am thinking about doing my bachelor's and masters in civil engineering. But the tiution fee Is too much . Is there anyway to get a good scholarships . Which will cover my tiution fee and living cost both
I’ve also tried looking for scholarships but unfortunately it seems that undergrad scholarships in the UK are not so easy to find :( There are some scholarships being offered from Imperial itself but only small amounts. I think you would have better luck getting one from your government or an organisation from your home country. You can also research for organisations from other countries but they’ll likely have conditions like having to work in their country for some number of years. Either way, wish you the best of luck!
@@jessayyou is there any kind of loan available.
I’m so sorry I’m not so familiar with loans as I did not look into them :(
Hi! Can I ask about language requirements, could I pass with DET?
Hi there! I’m afraid I’m not familiar with what DET is but you could easily look up Imperial’s English requirements on their website! I myself used my IB English qualification to fulfill the requirement and other English tests such as IELTS and Duolingo can also be used to prove your fluency in English. Hope that helped!
heyyy, Great vid!!!. Is this for your Bachelors degree, and what exams did you write to get in??
Thanks!!😄 I’m doing an integrated master’s degree, and I had to attend an interview with Imperial! Did IB before uni :)
hallo, what do you think of your accommodation there? And is it easy to get the cheapest room available at Imperial?
I’ve been liking my accommodation, just some heating problems which my hall specifically is infamous for. You’ll have to choose five accommodation preferences and they’ll allocate one out of those five to you, so you can easily choose five options with prices that match your budget! :)
@@jessayyou any recommendations for accommodations?
I’ve heard Kemp Porter is really nice with a great price, just that you have to rely on public transportation to get to campus and tube strikes here are a common thing. Eastside, Westside and Beit Hall are very close to South Ken campus but quite costly while Wilson House is in the middle in terms of price and is a 30-minute walk away. You’ll have to weigh up your priorities and see which choice is best for you. Hope that helped!
@@jessayyou thank u so much!
You’re very welcome!
What is your instagram, can I ask you some questions about ic
You can ask away in the comment section here!
The volume of your speech is low. Difficult to hear.
