What is frequency, and duty cycle?
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.4 года назад
Explaining what frequency, herz, amplitude, and duty cycle is for beginners. We use duty cycle to vary the average voltage to a component that either can't handle lower voltages, is either on or off, or the computer can't vary the voltage to a component. Watch the video to understand

Hi Craig, wondering if you can share where you got this board and components from? Thanks so much!
hi craig, thanks for the video, I know how to test for the ref wire and ground, what if the sensor itself is faulty, ie the resistor in sensor is gone, would you get 5v at the signal wire, is this because its a pull down circuit? Also what would be best way to test for signal wire itself. ( using a test light connect to ground and touch signal wire?) and if its pull up circuit, put the test light on +ve terminal? thanks in advance
Awesome Job!! Havnt heard from you in awhile
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
Again, great information.
Clearest electrical tuition I've found on RUclips.
Enjoying these vids.
Just the same as all the other 'Craigs class' videos I've watched - Great!
Brilliantly simplifying the complicated.
Useful to see on the vehicle.
Enjoyed the ignition lessons.
👍
Great tuition!
Really good!
Definitely makes it understandable.
Learnt a lot from that!
Just watch your part three 😂Thank You!
Mr Craig, ive always thought more resistance equals less current? Love watching your videos
Thank you Sir!!
You very educative. Wish the million mechanics out there knew your channel
Love your videos man! They help me learn so much more on top of school! Really appreciate it
64 magnetic fields
That Was Awesome!! Great explanation how they work, Question how does the computor Signal the base an how much current? Other sensors? Thank you
Thank you!,,
Very good video
Also the video at 5:46 shows an increase in voltage of 3.809 volts vs 2.5 volts. According to Ohms law, introducing a resistor in series in the Ground wire will decrease the current flow and hence a lower voltage at the signal wire. But the opposite is happening in the video. And the same resistor connected to the hot side gives another different voltage reading. Why?
I’m not measuring current. You are correct that increase in resistance decreases current, but I’m measuring voltage. Increase of resistance in the ground circuit increases voltage measurement on ground pin of sensor, since more electrical pressure (voltage) is needed to over come the downstream resistance. So the voltage across the entire sensor sweep increases also. That makes the sensor wire read higher voltage.
The video time at 5:18 shows voltage of 5.05 volts. Is your DMM Black Lead connected to the Negative terminal of the battery?
Yes
how bypass cps if i wanted too.
Love your teaching. Thanks for sharing your excellent knowledge
What if u get voltage on the signal wire if its unplugged from the sensor?
The best instructor
Duuude, great video
Stronger the basics the better the knowledge, love the way you grind in the basics and theory😊
Excellent presentation. This gave me some very useful information.
Good day to u , I look at your video so informative understand digital an analog signals thanks
I still don’t get the difference in pull up and pull down compared to high side low side. 😵💫
I appreciate you. I'm finally back on par with my auto electrical
I realy appreciate this informative explaination..thanks alot thanks alot🙏
But i have a question... what type of this circuit is?.. a pull down or pull up circuit and why?
You are great !
I would love to see a lesson ( you explain things very well) on oscilloscopes
Excellent break down!!!
Another’s outstanding explanation. Please keep them coming!
what happened at the end... the vid just disappeared in mid sentence😮
Nicely done!
Aek namber bro❤❤
Thank you, sir. For the first time, I understand the duty cycle.
Thankyou for evrething Craig's you are the best explaining the electricity
Hi Craig, thanks for the video, @6:50 couldnt you do a continuity test between live wire and ground wire to test the sensor? , also can we always assume that the signal wire will always have either 5v/12v ,eventhough in the schematic diagram it just specifies its a signal wire, but it doesnt say weather it supplies the power or not? (is this what they call pull down circuit? ) also @7:48, when you unplug the pin, wouldnt you get 5v on live and signal only not all the way across.? you will get 0 on ground wire?
sorry my last comment was already covered on another video before this…..i subscribed to this channel.
Just another comment. Can you show how to take a 3-wire sensor (input to CPU) and tell which wire is which without a schematic? One is ground the other is VCC and the other is the signal to the CPU. I suppose I could read the voltage at the sensor connector using a back-probe pin test lead with power applied by having the ignition key turned to position 2 (not the accessory position). I could get Ground and VCC using this method and by default the other is the signal pin.
