Can this laptop use ssd?
I know this is an older video, but like a good car, I like to keep computers running. Good video. I like the way you highlighted the screw locations. I always like to see the full reverse assembly, though because that's usually where I go wrong! Much obliged!

You should indicate that some screws are longer than others and where these are located, so viewers will not mix them up. Also, the new battery will require calibration after installation.
Good video thank you. I plan to replace my HDD with a SSD in my V5-571 which I think is the same. Can I use a magnetic screwdriver? Seems a bit easier with all those screws

May I ask on how thick is the hdd for this? I plan to buy a new replacement.
The new hard drive that you're using is 9.5mm thick. Thats more than enough for me to upgrade to new hard drive. Good info from your video.

I have a question what speed do you have on usb 3.0 mine with w10 doesn't go faster then 18mb/s (my flash drive is much faster i tested on other computer)

Hello. What is the size or dimensions of the internal hard disk that you replace? Would any brand of hard disk fit in the laptop. Thanks
Stacy Glaze Aguirre Hi. I used the standard 2.5" hard disc, maybe it is 7mm in height/thickness. Any brand would do, just make sure it's a 2.5" hard disc. I recommend Western Digital, just because it's the one I've been using all these years.
