What a blessing

In it's simplest sense of the idea, did Adam and Eve have more peace and freedom doing God's will or doing their own? Was Jesus sent as a perfect sacrifice to appease God's anger towards man or was sent as a ransom to free man from the bondage of Satan?

Thank God for Jesus Christ who has set us free. Jesus Christ is Love and we must love others.

I had an experience in January 1996 while I was studying at about 10:30pm. I was in college. It was a realization that I was worthy of changing and living for God and I believed that I was capable of changing. I have had 1 or 2 revelatory experiences since then. One was about 1.5 years after that. There was some slow process going on a while before January 96. There is still quite a bit of slow process happening. I am not sure the conversion is complete yet.

What a powerful and timely word this morning! An irate man entered our church building during the early 9:00 service and after it was over, he began shouting about his need for money. He rambled incoherently about his circumstances, none of which made any real sense other than to stand as evidence of the man's deeper spiritual need for release from the demons of life. I wish I had heard this sermon before our encounter with him so I could have been better prepared to minister to him. My heart is still heavy for him. His anger and bitterness towards the injustices of life has made him spiritually blind and deaf and impervious to any display of mercy or attempt at assistance. Human words alone cannot penetrate and heal him. Monetary handouts are the only thing left for him to recognize as being "helpful" but we know the need is far deeper than that alone. There is nothing humanly possible that can reach him at this point. He's a miracle waiting to happen. I pray for God's Spirit to break through all of the darkness surrounding him, knock him off his horse and rebuild him from the inside out. May his conversion take place sooner than later and may the Body of Christ be ready to receive him. Amen!

Happy belated birthday and congratulations on the new grandson! What a blessing! Great word too. I used to feel like my conversion was less than because it wasn’t a “knocked off the horse” moment but more of the gradual process over time. Both are the working of the Holy Spirit and equally as powerful. God works in us for His good pleasure Phil 2

Happy late birthday Heinrich! Always enjoy your sharing. I’m the husband Gerry! My conversion occurred on January 30 of 1983. I wasn’t knocked off a horse. But it was dramatic and not gradual. It was in the back of a pick up truck in Bukavu Zaire!

Jesus, The King, the Son of God, the Son of Man and the High Priest come to Earth proclaiming the possibility of entering God's Kingdom, the very purpose of creating a Man. And at this same time He was pointing out what have to be done in order to enter this Kingdom and also He was removing obstacles and burdens some of the people were unable to do by themselves. No need to wait for "Millennium", we can enter His rest, and His Kingdom at any time. Unfortunately the Good News "doesn't make sense" for some (such as for Timothy J.
