The repeated argument that Israel needs to defend itself is actually not justified. During the past four months, no bombs have dropped on Israel or the Israeli population. Apart from the horrific deaths of 1000 Israeli civilians and 200 taken hostage- there have been no Israeli civilian killed or infrastructure destroyed. On the other hand there have been 23k Palestinians killed using weapons of mass destruction and indiscriminate bombing. So, seriously- why would the ICJ fail to understand this obvious, yet simple point. As to the ICJ potentially dismissing the SA case on technical grounds, we need to ask ourselves serious questions. Should technical issues EVER be used to dismiss a charge as grave as genocide? What does it mean when those charged with genocide use technical issues to escape their charge? Also ask, had Hitler been charged with genocide of the Jewish people, but the charge dismissed due to technical issues - where would humanity be?
