Don't toss them when the sole goes out, send them to a cobbler and have them rebuilt. It'll save you money and you won't have to break in a new pair

Glad I found a brand new but discontinued duluth trading mock/steel toe contractor boot. Made by the same company as thorogood but better fitment and durability. Vibram soles and resoleable 😂 (I think that's a word) really tho, the leather isn't thick enough to keep for life. If we want real boots, we have to go to Nick's, whites, or Frank's boots.

I can’t stand the way wedge soles round out like that so quickly. I know these are way lower level than thorogood but I bought some rock rooster boots from Amazon (I worked in a warehouse building aluminum store front frames, lots of walking) that had a wedge sole but they also had a rubber sole after the foam wedge sole. No rounding and three years later I finally have a tiny hole of separation between the boot and sole, but the sole is still in good shape hasn’t worn away like a vibrum wedge sole does after a few months

I just got me a pair of these in 8”. I’ve been going back and forth for a week on size.. the 12 feels comfortable but probably a little loose fit and to much room in the toe.. and the 11.5 feels good in the toe but pretty dang snug, especially over the bottom of my foot where the bottom laces are. It’s not horrible but my question is will these break in and is this how there supposed to be? The 11.5s feel more natural and not clumsy like the 12,s.. there just tight. I thought about trying the 11.5 EE but they’ll have to be ordered just like how I did these two already😅 They don’t make just E width so The EE probably will be too wide. I normally wear a 12 but these Thorogood fit a half size big (just like most people say)
