Thanks for the program....I was there about 15 years ago. In the morning the monks pray Matins followed by the Divine Liturgy. This is the Orthodox term. We do not use the word mass. This is aRoman Catholic term. After the services, the main meal is served s you correctly said. In the evening there is again no mass. The monks pray Vespers, have a light meal and then return for Compline which is the Night Prayers. Usually after Compline there is the opportunity to talk to the monks and have a drink. Other monasteries on Mount Athos also have different monastic programs and obediences. But overall, each monastery brings its own spirit to unite on Athos.

Love this series not on any main TV in the UK just once every so often, on a Sunday at 9am, no information as to what season or episode. A few retards had complained about him stripping off to his bathers FFS, maybe they should be in a nut house the simple minded fools. Its a great series and I love the down to Earth approach
