Mike Richter HAS NO EQUAL as far as all-time Ranger goalies go and I'm old enough to have seen Eddie Giacomin, John Davidson, John Vanbiesbrouck, Hank, Shesterkin. There are no excuses. In playoff crunch time, your goalie has to outplay the other team's goalie, the other team and your own team's flaws. It's all about the Cup. Period.

I've been a Rangers fan since 80'. All those years of having to suffer especially that 86' team and my personal favorite of the 92' team. To finally get to the SCF was elation. Especially in a playoffs that included a sweep of the Islanders was special. I was still heartbroken for losing Amonte and Gartner. Sad that they weren't a part of it.
