Gedore (GE-DO-RE), is an acronym for GEbruder(meaning brother, multiple brothers of one family). DOwidet(last name of three brothers who owned company). REmsheid( hometown of the Dowidet brothers, Remsheid, Germany.

Strange to talk about Gedore and not say anything about DOWIDAT, the main root of Company.

Is all that showcased made in USA? Doesnt look like it. It looks like the xframes are mixed with non-USA versions. People wont be happy to be paying US prices for non US made tools.

Too funny I was just looking at the t-handle ratchet. However I seen a lot of pretty dismal reviews on it so I'm kind of on the fence for now. As they certainly are not cheap. Especially if you get the 20 piece kit ( I could be wrong on that number)

Hardcaseses are becoming a necessary on the job sites in todays times we are working with foreigners never seen before and the days of loose tools on the site days are gone keep everything accounted in todays construction times these tools are not easy replaced i can tell you over the last three years my best friend has upgraded to hard cases just for tool security on the job. the lazy days of dumping tools into a bag as you climb the rig 100 foot then come back down and all your tools are gone is the times we live in.

Knipex another great tool great ergonomic handle awesome steel. Once again they all have their flaws Knipex Pliars, side cutters long nose grippers straight from hamburg supplier rust early they need constant maitanance A bit like a Female Demon but strong and reliable like Wera they have the western mans hands ergonomics down pat. Keep knipex away from moisture when not in use to have a great tool.

Very pricey - Wrenches should be polished for the price...

Did I hear "vernier caliper"? That's digital, not vernier. Before there were digital calipers, they came in two types: dial and vernier. I would never go back to either one (digital is way easier to use), but they do work when you run out of batteries.
