This Award-winning wildlife sanctuary with JungleBarn indoor play centre offers so much for all the family, from amazing summer free flying bird shows, Fun Farm to Penguin photocalls and feeding the little parrots.
You’ll meet colourful birds including many rare and beautiful parrots, flamingos, toucans and red-billed Cornish choughs, plus owls, kookaburras and cranes. With over 140 species and a total of over 650 birds there is a stunning range to see. The Fun Farm includes mini donkeys, pygmy goats, sheep, rabbits and guinea pigs. Then you have red pandas, red squirrels and otters with many species in conservation breeding schemes.

They have a lot of character and are sturdy good-looking birds. People of a certain age might remember that Mynahs were often kept as pets in the 70s and 80s and could learn a wide range of words, whistles and calls. Sadly, these were almost always caught in the wild and imported, very few were bred in the UK. Ours don’t talk but you can hear their very distinctive natural call.

The four new otter pups at Paradise Park in summer 2024 are doing well and spending more time outside with the rest of the family. Otter pups born in May 2024 start swimming lessons in June, with mum Pippin and dad Katarni and 4 older brother and sisters. These four new pups have been named after Asian foods, Biryani, Chapati and Pad Thai for the females and Noodle for the male.

During the summer season, you can buy some nectar and help feed these wonderful little Lorikeet parrots, in their walk-through Rainbow Aviary in the walled garden (weather permitting).

Staff are thrilled to announce a flamingo egg was laid on 15th June 2024, with others in the flock looking very interested at doing the same. The new adult pair have been named Colin and Penelope, inspired by the elegance and intrigue of ‘Bridgerton’ and characters Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington. Tawny Owl rescue from chimey - Cornwall

Yesterday (9th May 2024) a call came in about an owl that had got stuck down a chimney in a property near Lands’ End. Director Nick and the Fire Brigade attended the scene and were able to safely remove the Tawny owl from the chimney. After a little TLC from Nick to clean and check it had no injuries, Nick released the owl close by.
