MAKING A CUSTOM SEAX
Today I am making a Viking Seax
The seax was a knife used for many things from cutting rope, chopping wood, preparing vegetables, skinning deer, and self defense.
The seax I will be making has to be 19-24 inches long with a wolf etching and a hardwood handle.

MY FAVORITE KNIFE SHARPENER (EDGE PRO APEX SHARPENER REVIEW)
Просмотров 10314 дней назад
Today I am reviewing the edge pro apex knife sharpener. I have used a lot of different knife sharpeners, but this one is my favorite. It's easy to use and gives great and repeatable results every time One of the things that makes other stones difficult to use is getting the right angle, but this sharpener locks the angle in place so it wont be changed while you are sharpening your knife Subscri...

DOES BUFFING A KNIFE HANDLE ACTUALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Such a pretty handle!
Thanks!
I love that handle!❤

That etch turned out nice. That cotton ball looked like a cooked egg 🍳

Weak Fellas, get out!!
Not sure what you mean
Nice job.

I do this alot myself
I tried using jigs after I learned free hand, but free hand is my favorite
😎
I like the sparks!

🚚 🔥 Bye bye little truck
He was a good truck
My serrated knife needs sharpening if you would like to practice. 😉😉
Yes I will
Cool gadget. Im old skool and use regular whetstones as they do not care how long your blade is. Compound curves and long blades are why I learned to do everything without jigs. As an example a Kris dagger wouldn't work on that setup. Neil Kamimura has the best vids on hand grinding and sharpening. Forge On!!!
Yeah, I will always love a whetstone. I think it's important to learn those freehand methods first because jigs and guides can become a vise if that's all you learn
Sweet video. You should definitely add the bench mount accessory as well if you're sharpening on a non pourous surface. It will make that sucker rock solid. 🤘
Thanks, yeah that would definitely help
Very informative, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
Oh nice! I’ve been looking for something to sharpen my forks
Dull forks are never a good thing
I want to see a video of you sharpening a knife on the white one. Really thick blades
Good stuff.
Thanks!
Magnificent

Thanks bagman!
Beautiful! ❤ 💐
Thank you!
That's a pretty cool blade shape. Really like that darkened steel too
Thanks! Yeah I like the darkened steel a lot too. It would look really cool with a falcon engraved on it...
@@ForgedEdge haha, yeah if only you were making a knife for a falconer...
Haha
I love the pink! 🩷 It's my favorite color
Thanks! I really like how it turned out

Came out nice. Have you ever thought about doing a machete, or like a Gladius or kilij? That'd be fun to watch.
I've made a couple machetes. Working on a 2 foot seax right now. I will definitely try a Gladius, that sounds fun
