Hi Chet. Just north of the border. Located on the west coast of British Columbia, Salt Spring Island is the largest of the Gulf Islands and is a popular tourist destination especially during the summer. It is a nice spot to be. Usually not too hot except in June when we had that bad 38.5C heatwave. Sadly close to 1000 people died from heat related injury in BC. It’s been raining a lot here over the past week but surprisingly backyard burn piles still aren’t allowed. Take care and thanks for dropping by my channel!

Thanks, I didn’t have too many flights with the AeroScout before I sold it. It is a fun plane though and I may get another one next year. I think I got 12-15 good minutes of flight. If I reduce the throttle I’m sure I could get more.

It was a Spektrum DX8G2 which comes with voice feedback which can be programmed to switches on the transmitter. Spektrum has software for loading custom sounds if you want to record or add your own.

Yes, my dad, uncle and I are all hams. My dad is most active on the air. The HF antenna is a 204’ G5RV which I helped set up by climbing halfway up a 100’ tree. My dad couldn’t convince me to go to the top. Perhaps I ran out of anchors or slings for protection at the 50’ level. We’ll have to try putting an antenna with the drone sometime.

this is the best first plane, easy to fly and to land. it can take some landing, it is durable and easy to fix. also it is very affordable and parts are easy to find and cheap

I learned to fly on a similar plane without ailerons though and no stability/Safe mode. I may start off with a slightly slower plane but one could certainly learn to fly with the AeroScout if they took it easy at first and not jump too fast into advanced mode. Thanks for watching!

The soil could be loose also might be made up of sand or a loose type of soil. Off the coast of Oregon in the united states a storm came through and uprooted lots of the big trees there because the soil was made up of 50% sand the same storm hit where i'm at I am not to far from the coast and I have some big douglas fir trees in my backyard and they all stood up none of them got uprooted because the soil they are in is made up of some clay and rock but unfortunately lacks some nitrogen still nice and healthy trees.

@@SkyTechPhoto Yeah speaking about the new norm we are going to get a unseasonal low pressure system on the 24th soon 85 Km winds are expected so I will see how that turns out and some thunderstorms.
