Welcome! Green Dirt Farm is a sheep dairy and artisan cheese maker located 40 miles northwest of Kansas City, Missouri. We make award winning mixed milk and 100% sheep milk cheese on our grass-based, Animal Welfare Approved, sheep dairy farm. We choose grass based dairying not only because we know that we’ll managed pastures make great tasting cheese; but also because we know it is the most environmentally sustainable way to do dairying. We believe that grass-based dairying is better for the animals and the environment and can even fight climate change by sequestering carbon in the soil.
