Just one lap into our race and one hit to the wall put an end to our car.
In the wrong place at the wrong time, a tangle of cars in front of us ended with us slamming straight into the wall at such an unlucky angle that it bent the front clip 2 inches off.
We drove straight back to the workshop in Tennessee that night and stripped the car the next day to see if there was anything to be done. But unfortunately the damage is just so bad that there was no way to fix it in time to get back to Eldora for the rest of the weekend. After flying halfway across the world to race in the World 100 at Eldora, having it all scrapped in 2 seconds was completely gutting.
