So fun fact, Douglas is played by my stepdad, Jeremy Kent Jackson. Part of the reason the character got a redemption arc was because the show runners liked his character so much they wanted to keep him on the show, so they wrote him an arc. That’s why he was frozen in ice, it was to basically gauge whether they wanted to bring him back or not before they went ahead with the final decision to redeem him.

I get why she wanted to quit but she could of just refused to put chip back in allowing her to be normal without doing something so permanent that would cost her her own ability to choose when and when not to be bionic Even when she apologized later it didn't change the fact that the chip is gone and with it her ability to choose to ever be bionic again. She destroyed her own ability to choose when to be bionic. If doug wasn't around there would be no way to recreate it and bree would never be a bionic again. All those missions they said could of been easy with bree that nearly got her brothers killed without her. She clearly didn't think her decision through all the way.
