Amanda Ross Interview on Radio Castledermot.
Last night we were delighted to welcome Amanda Ross from the National Ambulance Service to the studio for a chat as part of our Heat Matters special show with Castledermot First Responders.
Amanda is the Community Engagement Officer for Kildare and also takes responsibility for Dublin, Wicklow, Laois and Offaly. Amanda has worked in the Health Service for over 27 years' with 11 of these years working in St. James's Hospital. Amanda has been working in the National Ambulance Service for the last 6 years and is one of the founding members of the Community First Responders scheme in her local area and helped out with a lot of groups in the surrounding areas to help train new members of their ...

On a very special episode of What Matters, we welcomed in members of the Castledermot First Responders team who gave us a real-world demonstration of what happens when they are contacted to call to an emergency. In this demonstration, we see both Cardiac Arrest and Stroke scenarios when someone calls 999.

This involves collecting memory cards from over the years to create a book of cards going back generations.
