I always hesitate to paint with white, like snowy spaces, polar bear etc. With your today tuto I learn a lot and I will take more importance with shadow. Thank you for your artistic sharing.

I get mine done at Hobby Lobby. They have a ton of ready to go frames that are 1/2 every other week and the mats are usually $10. Even my largest ones are usually only about $50. Most smaller ones are $25.

Genius idea using the posca, and the orange reflection worked perfectly. A great little sketch. I'll have a go tomorrow - i keep meaning to do an evening or dawn sky. We've got a massive storm coming our way tomorrow and, while it will be bad, it won't be anything like the storms the US has had in recent days, weeks, months. I'm sorry to hear people in NC are still in tents! Floridians must've thought ths sky was falling in. I saw a reel of a guy putting salt on his driveway.. with pink himalayan salt in a salt shaker. I love this one! It's so nice to think about bright happy birds and beaches on a very cold cloudy day like the one we're having now! And I thought it was interesting that since you're in Florida and probably go to beaches all the time, versus me that never goes, you knew to make the sand darker around the water. I'm not sure I would have noticed the difference! And I really love the perspective lines of this sketch!

New subscriber scrolling RUclips and found what I've been looking for since I began watercolors in my 60s. I bought a pretty little painting of a shotgun house during the pandemic and it reminded me of home/childhood. For the first time in my life I wanted to draw and paint and I couldn't do either. I can follow your teaching style and plan to loosely paint this house a lot as I remember the shotgun houses of my youth. Love the way you teach.

New subscriber here, just what I've been looking for loose/easy. Began watercolors in my 60s with the desire to express/relax with this pretty medium. Enjoyed sketching/painting this one and looking forward to the little house that reminds me of my grands shotgun houses in Alabama. Just right for those of us who want to do a little not a lot.
