Tallmantz Aviation did all the stunt flying. Tallmantz was located down at the far westerly end of Orange County Airport. Many of the flight scenes were shot above the orange groves on the old Irvine Ranch.

I have seen this film a million times and the scene that I wait for is when the tower asks who is flying the airplane and Mickey says Nobody is flying the airplane.

Due to how much of it was shot outside on location, this movie is a great time capsule of SoCal and the world in general in the early '60s. It's fun to see the cars, clothes, streets, buildings, etc. Over the years I've gone to various IAMMMMW shooting locations whenever I'm in the area. Some of the locations have changed almost too much to recognize, such as the scenes in the desert around Palm Springs. An exception is Seven Level Hill on Route 74 where the opening twisty road scenes were filmed, which has hardly changed at all. Other locations such as the California Incline and PCH around Santa Monica and the Long Beach chase scenes are still easily recognizable. IAMMMMW "then and now" videos and websites that compare scenes from the movie to recent videos and photos of the various shooting locations are a great resource for fans of the movie.
