Coating Your Casted Projectiles with Hi-Tek Supercoat
after you coat your slugs do you need to resize them?
Yes you do. It does not make a ton of difference but I prefer to size to keep things consistent.
Have you tried sizing those , with a 0.252, 0.251, or 0.250 to see about your POI/CTC?,,, and also, did you run 220grit Wheeler Polisher through barrel? I am VERY curious to see what i can do with a bunch of RG4 NOE molds i have been using a bit of years . So many to try out, so many potentials in the 24". impressive with your conditions, here , i do a lot of below freezing shooting AND casting, and mostly have winds, etc. this has, 60gr RF 252 , done very well in four 25cal brands and models thus far, to 100y in winds, also!
I have lapped the barrel. I do soft lead and it swages down to bbl dimensions anyway. I have thought about it just to see the difference, but it shoots so well as is, I cannot justify the cost.
Another good one. SUBSCRIBED.😁 I quit watching airgun videos after i quit making videos and being sent them...! It's neat to see your perspective, different part of Country. I was angry when both my Windows 10 Pro Video Editors crashed. . . i never took down my 220yard personal gun range, nor did i stop casting and modding.
Thanks for your time making videos. I quit last 18 months making casting videos. I LOVE that you are using the NOE molds. I have a coupon code, which drives PCP Folks' relevance to the former lack of molds being made, years ago, dedicated to be sized or shot AS IS to Airguns. Bulldogs and dozens more. Here is how you can stack and save more on ANY NOE molds. CODE ' DLS001 ' - and due to your video, i will be requesting this mold. Airforce made many errors on my Airforce guns. the last, it was sending me a 457 , NOT my 510CF. I ended up buying the set of barrels, since sent me the 457 back with my 510CF tx2....my AirFroce has spent more time at their warranty repairs than the 6yrs since i bought. ... i have a heap of open-source data i share, FX RADAR, and sizing, etc on facebook. i ONLY use that as a place to share data. I also have a bullet mold NOE made for me, for ALL, 'Five Gallon Bucket'... for the m50 AEA sent me when it was new to World. i hated the LEE RBs, yet they would go through 5 watermelons, all on video for youtube .... I believe you should have more subscribers, and many more views. I bet why, its because you are also not using NEW TO WORLD guns, but you certainly have RELVANT information... and i have processed and cast METRIC TONS of lead... then i made a channel about. take care, and GREAT work on your video.
Nice video. I was making videos about adapting Centerfire Molds to numerous new to World PCPs.... now i am reverting to an Airforce Condor 24". What is the farthest range you have shot , say, a Starling? I watched a friend, with a TalonTunes upgrades hit a Starling with a 60gr RF at over 230yards... the 24" barrel , obviously far different than your 18", but what can you stretch that out to and group nice CTC?
If I tether to a bottle I can easily get over 200 yards if I can do my part with the wind.
Thanks. I'm new to Air Rifles and just picked up a 25-cal Talon SS. I hope she's a good one!
I just got this air rifle do you have a tuning video or do you know anyone that has an in-depth tuning video you can point me to?
Have you had any issues with a bent pin since you swapped to the tungsten hammer? I was told by Utah air I needed an 8mm over the stock 7mm and that would get my dynamic .25 up to 160bar on the reg. They told me the tungsten would damage my gun since it was so heavy.
yes, bud they told me the same thing so I took my stock hammer out of my Maverick .30 and put in my dynamic .25 600mm after I had already bought the tungsten one for it but didn't use it because Utah said do not use the tungsten one, it works just fine also no issues

Looks like I need to go Harbor freight and get one or make one DIY . 🤔 just subscribed grate video 👍🏻
What tungsten hammer did you get?
Great video I'm really considering switching to high tech if it makes a better looking bullet at the end compared to powder coat
You 30 caliber nuts need to try something else,
I’m interested in the mold you used can you send me a link to it
What grain? What is the power wheel settings
Nice vid
Thanks for answering my questions. Very little content on this issue. I wanted to verify I wouldn't have issues before installing this tungsten hammer.
love your video, what coating do you use on your slugs and where can I get some.
Looking forward to mine being delivered, with the tungsten hammer fitted by the importers before delivery, to compliment my 30 cal M3 and 25 cal Panthera
Your groups are better than you think. You're supposed to measure center to center of the holes so the spread is not thrown off by larger projectiles making larger holes. In other words the spread of a .22 and a .50 will be only measuring your accuracy, not having the larger .50 adding to the spread. You have a great property, btw!
He is measuring c to c by taking the outside of two furthest points and subtracting the slug diameter, in this case, .357..
Well done thank you
The 700mm I'm getting around 215fpe with 118gr.. and about 235 fpe with 142gr nsa
That is very solid numbers. I went with the 600mm just for the length. By the time you screw a decent moderator on the 600 it is pretty long. I appreciate you checking out the channel.
That's awesome. I can't believe the scores are that good at a range those shooters haven't been to. I'm gonna have to step it up so I can go shoot with you guys. Beautiful place Brotha Ken!
Who makes the tungsten hammer? Where can i get one?
most FX dealers carry them. Just need the FX non impact hammer. it is around $10.00
don't use the tungsten it can damage the valve pen all the dealers are telling you not to use it
Thanks for a great and informative video
Thank you for watching
Ken was cheating with that .357. Like shooting a bowling ball at a tictac😂😂. Maybe next weekend. I have RMAC coming up

This was extremely helpful - demonstrated performance and concise supporting information oriented to the hunting application. All the research I’ve done was confirmed by the rigor of your video. Thanks for sealing the deal for me.
Thank you for watching. Glad it helped out.
Soooo, as you are shaking the bullets don’t you damage the bullet bases at all?
Not one bit. It is more of a swirl. I can see why you might think that though.
1/2 teaspoon dawn and 1/2 teaspoon of lemie shine 12pounds of brass 1 and hours running dump and rinse lay out on a towel in the sun for an hour.
Love your channel. I just making sure you coat your pellets and slugs for PCP on all your guns? It’s safe for the gun and keeps accuracy in tact ? Thanks for the response
I do on fact coat all mine. Yes no more leading and accuracy is the same if not better.
Where do you order your powder from?
there is a link in the description. It's great stuff
Glad I found your channel. I just got my dynamic in .35 so far it’s more accurate than my wildcatmk3 .30! I’d looove to hear more about those cast slugs. Been casting for a while and would like to have a cheaper ammo option. Great video!
I will be able to do some work on the channel starting mid next week. Just been super busy with the farm and my full time gig. I will make sure to do an episode with the .35 cast. I actually had an opportunity to shoot it last night with my 90 grain HP and it is insane.

What adapter are you using for that UTG Recon bipod? I thought it was too big of a hole for mlok on the bottom. Please share. I would greatly appreciate it.
I am using an m-lock on the bottom that has a picatinny and it mounts right to that
#FHA Great video. The only thing putting me off the Dynamic .35 was the length. Seeing what you've been able to achieve with the 600mm has convinced me. Great information.
the 600 is an awesome gun. It only seems long when you hand a suppressor on it but it is still manageable.
@@fha9507 Finally got the KIng .357. (5 month wait for the laminate stock from GRS). I'm in the UK and the importer says it's the only .357 King in the country! Despite this the Zan .35 & the FX hybrids are readily available. I've installed the HUMA pin probe, heavy spring & tungsten hammer & testing from 120bar to 175 bar. Maxing out at 166.5fps with 90gn Zan. My one niggle is having to remove the triger guard to reach the reg adjuster on the king. I am struggling to find B.C. values tho'. Hope to fit my Alpex scope but can't without the B.C. for each slug.
Where in Ga are you, I am in Evans Ga.Thanks Don
Thanks for the great video FHA. I have a Frankford Arsenal Rotary Tumbler Lite and SS pins I use for cleaning my brass. I've been using Dawn, Lemi Shine and Hot water. I would fill the drum, depending on how many cases I had to do, usually from 1/3 to 1/2 full or so and tumble them for an hour. The majority would be very clean but a few would turn colors, especially the case head. I watched your video earlier today and I had about 1/3 of a drum of 40 S&W range brass I needed to clean. I figured it was about the same amount you were cleaning in both of your drums combined, so I added only 1/4 teaspoon of Lemi Shine and 4 Tablespoons of Armor All Wash and Wax and filled the drum up with HOT water. I let them tumble for about an hour and a half. They looked like they just came off the manufacturing line ready to ship. This is the cleanest and shiniest brass I have ever got to look like this, inside, outside and the primer pocket were all looking like brand new never fired brass. Thanks again for this great video.
Did you forget that you changed the point of impact on
I just wanted them all in the block. You are in fact correct though, from manufacturer to manufacturer, there is a pretty significant POI shift.
Good video, just a couple things. Always decap your brass, water fills the primer pocket and makes it a mess when drying besides there is no other way to cut that hard carbon out. A universal decapping die from Lee is like 16 bucks and works on everything. I like the idea of the Armor All car wash, cheaper than Dawn, might work better. Instead of Lemi Shine just pick up a big bag of Citric acid off Amazon. I/3rd the cost of Lemi Shine and lasts forever, I just use a 45acp case full in each load in my Frankford Arsenal Small Wet Tumbler. IMHO it works better, smells great and I store my media wet and even after 3 months it still smells great. Now, your choice but I use Southern Shine Stainless Steel media instead of the pins. It doesn't get hung up in flash holes or bridge in the body of bottleneck cartridges. It's little pointy chips and with the sharp edges your brass comes out polished looking better than new. For anyone asking I used a vibority cleaner with corn cob for 40 years. I resisted wet tumbling believing it was messy, took a long time and was expensive. Because of the contaminated dust and for health reasons I switched to wet tumbling finding out those problems with wet tumbling couldn't be further from the truth.
I use them lee die sometimes. Honestly depends on how many I am doing. I really do not worry about proper pockets unless I am doing precision rifle stuff. I also have the RCPS case mate and should I need to get that carbon out, a simple press on the brush and it is gone. If I did not have that, I would more than likely recap prior to tumbling. Thank you for watching!
P r o m o s m 😅
How much FPE are you getting now that you upgraded the hammer weight?
I just did a follow up video last week. Check it out if you get a chance. I am over 200 FPE and could go more yet.
Excellent video. Your procedure drops excellent shiny boolits. Mine came a bit frosty of out of the Lee aluminum molds. I ordered a NOE 135 steel mold based on your recommendations and it would be interesting to see how it performs vs the Lee aluminum molds I got. Do you know if the Lee handles fit the NOE molds?
yes lee handles are all I use. I have a few sets of NOE as well.
@@fha9507 Thank you. I will save some money there 😬👍🏻
just picked up my kit this week
Awesome.
Do you prefer 2 or more cavity for your molds? Besides the speed of casting what other benefits the 4-5 cavity molds have ? Do they heat up faster or about the same as 2 cavity molds ? At the moment both 2 and 4 cavity HTC356-135-RF-AH2 molds are available at NOE.
I use a warming plate while pot is heating so that heating to temp is irrelevant for my setup. However, the best answer I can give you, is the smaller the projectile the easier it is to cast more from a mold block. Smaller stuff, If I plan on making a bunch, I will get a 4 hole mold. If I am experimenting, I will usually get an aluminum 2 cavity. My favorite molds I will usually go back and get brass and keep the Aluminum now as a backup. Brass holds heat better and I get more consistent weights projectile to projectile.
@@fha9507 Good tip on pre heating the mold. I learn new things every day. Thank you.
watch my casting video you will see hot plate behind my caster. I usually just set it on 6 when I start preheating pot. @@jolebole-yt
@@fha9507 do you ever need to cool off the mold if you are running a bigger batch?
very nice, how are you casting those hollow points?
Same way as all other casting. Google NOE Molds. It is mechanical and when you open the mold, the pins can slide and they fall right off the pins.
Great presentation video. I just casted my first batch and used the same Hitek powder. After I was done with the coat I realized I used a bit too much for my amount of bullets and the coating was a bit thick. It did pass the wipe test but not the smash test. I guess its time for another batch :). How you like that NOE 135gn mold ? I got some Lee molds to start cheap, but I might be looking at NOE if I find cheap source of lead and want to cast lots of boolits.
I would say 90 percent of my molds are NOE. I absolutely love the 135 both in my carbine ruger 9mm and my FX Dynamic airgun. They are show stoppers.
@@fha9507 They look like great molds with some modular features like casting multiple size bullets with changing the bottom pins and the price very reasonable. I have tried to reach to NOE via email about some out of stock items and have not got any responds via email or phone. Full.Lead.Taco replied to me that Al was having some health issues and I'm not sure if they are able to make or ship any molds at the moment.
