dude great demo but what the fuck is it with reamping and chilling on your phone, aren't you thrilled to PLAY these things?! 😂🤦🏽♂️
everything at 12 except the volume which is on 1
Thanks Spiderman!
The AD200b is clearly richer fuller more organic there both fantastic heads though but the all tube wins and will every time
AD200 mk3 is more refined and articulate. Winn Dixie has 10% off all Merlot wines- very classy...
I love the sound of the AD200B but I'm just not sure 200W would be enough to cut through a metal band
Bro it’s loooooooouuuuuuuuud. I have one and mannnnn it’s loud
That is no Problem for the amp. I am in a metal Band and i use the amp with 4x10'' + 1x15"" and a passive Sandberg Bass. Gain on 10 o clock and Master Volume on 11 o clock and you cut through the Band Sound like a Sharp and heavy sword 🤘
What a fucking banger
Thanks man!!
This is the happiest I’ve been in awhile
We gotta play once shows are a thing again!!
"This first song goes out to Uncle Ben."
The 🍷 wine cracked me up
Brian Fitzgerald I’m saying. I started rollin when I saw that. Lmao
I have yet to find a D class solid state bass amp that remotely compares to an all tube bass amp for warmth, tweaked over drive and back breaking weight. But A/B amps win hands down. D class sound too sterile.
3:08 - Limp Bizkit - Just think about it
"I think the AD is worth the extra money for sure" Well of course, your parents bought everything for you lol
AMAZING
"WITH A PICK!"
Don't ever drink a glass of wine bigger than your head.
The ad200b mk3 is a monster!!
Men don't drink wine.....
AHHHH YES!!!!!
is this guy serious? everything is so distorted
There's no contest here, as far as I'm concerned, the AD200b blows the Terror out of the water.
I own the Bass terror 500...I run it through the Orange 1x15 and I play a Rickenbacker 4003..I use it for everthing...metal, country, blues, pop, funk, rock..all of it. Honestly, I don't need anything else. Portable as hell, I run it with no pedals, run it hard and gig a lot. It sounds great. Pretty sure a meteor couldn't kill it.
Nice simple comparison between amps. Cheers mate.
I still haven't seen a good demo of the AD200 then.
Matt its too loud , nice amps but too much with a not so great bass guitar. Thanks , take it easy with the juice.
the ad 200 certainly sounded far more musical to my ears. having a valve power stage or class A/B rather than class D power stage is certainly the way to go.
The all tube w/o a doubt. And thanks for playing bits so we could actually HEAR the amp and not just another slap and pop fest like 99% of bass videos.
Could you make a Video with a guitar and a fuzzpedal ? ... many bassamps were great für stonerrock... maybe this one too ...
What's with all the competitive bassists who seem desperate to shoot down anyone else who even tries? Thanks for the video. I currently own the TB500 and love the tone compared to some other heads I tried when I went to buy it. Always wondering whether the AD200B is worth the extra investment. It's good to hear other peoples opinions but I guess the best way to know would be to head down my local guitar store and try them out. Cheers. :)
Alfie Strickland I have the Bass Terror as well. I use it for everything and it sounds great. Bummer about the bass terror...it's been discontinued...Gotta disagreed with this fella about bottom end...this amp makes everything sound huge, I've shard my rig on double or triple bills and people lust after it. Cheers man.
You really should learn HOW to PLAY FIRST!!!
The AD 200 wins hands down! Interesting shootout video - thx for puttin' it up...
The ad200b seems cleaner.
if youd crank thad ad2xx a bit im sure it would sound so much better. i owned the terror bass 1000, sounded good, got supid loud, has that dry sound like everything ive played from orange and still own. also it cuts through the mix very very well. i just like my ampegs better, especially my 70s vb4 head. but def. check out any of the orange line up if you can. they still make a really good product. cheerz
What is the song @ 2:39 or is it just a random one he's wingin? Pretty basic riff but still it sounds tight, can anyone tell me would appreciate it :D
AD200B sounds way better, you're right. I'd be drinking wine too after finding out how the Terror pales in comparison.
nice dishes mom.
Can't make my mind up between a Ampeg Svt 7 or the orange terror 500 ? Most likely going to be going through a Ampeg cab SVT 410HLF any suggestions ?
Lewis Saunders I have the TB1000 and SVT7, totally different. I'm using the SVT7 for my (pop)punk-rock cover band, nice allround sound, focussed on the (treble/)mids. Using the TB in my alternative rockband, with posthardcore/postgrunge influences, treble and bass focussed, sometimes a bit boomy (playing with an active bass in drop A#), but very nice amp though! The Terror bass (even the 500) seems to be louder, but they have a totally different gain stage. Why don't you test them out?
Joren De Mesmaeker Thanks for the information, yeah i gathered the easiest way is to test them both out down a music store. Cheers!
Which do you prefer ?The Ad200 or the Aguilar DB 751? I am stuck between the two?
fine wine and bass! i find after a number of wines my amp sounds sweeter.
hey bro really good shoot out, just to point a couple of things; i dont really know if your cab(4x10) has the horn switch in the back, that affects the sounds really dramatically. i know you did a good comparison the 2 of them. i own the 1000 watts and quite honest the response on highs, mids and lows are really quite defined . i tried for hours the ad 200 and quite good but i feel for musicians who wants really something on the go and not compromising the sound, the 1000 watts will do vs the 500 and mk3 also the weight on the mk3 is way too much on top of the cab weight is already heavy. terror 500 and 1000 easy to carry to any gig and terror any venue!!!!
Weight too much? Please.... And you are that defining line of being a professional musician or not. You can make music through the Terror, but anyone who is SERIOUS about their sound and tone, don't even hesitate about the AD200. It is all you'll ever need. And if you're not willing to be strong and carry around great equipment, for all who read this, you will not be successful! I hope everyone has a great day!
lol at the guy in the background getting bored and playing on his phone at 2:33
Now I know why these things AREN'T selling. They sound like shit.
depends on what you want to play...in my case ad200b is a God's amplifier
Mark Bass is where its at.
Uh...yah, they do. And they are WAY, WAY overpriced.
BreathDoctor I have the bass terror 500w with the orange obc 115. Kicks like a mule, sounds huge. And it can take a beating.
Lee plays through whatever the Sponsor says, asswipe. Not too smart, are you?
What's with the last minute-thirty of you schlepping wine? Who gives a shit how rich you are?
Rich haha...
My red wine was 8.99 at Harris Teeter... I guess I'll see you at the country club for a few games of shuffle board!
josh westheimer Ok then... Who gives shit if you are a pretentious, self-absorbed hipster?
congratulations! You're a dumbass
It's his video...so he is drinking a glass of wine...Gear down big rig.
good job toby mcguire
Literally thought exactly the same 1 second in! xD Good review though.
tobey maguire?
Laughing at the kid who commented saying that a 50 watt marshall will make you disappear with that 200 watt orange. That thing is incredibly loud
ahhaha yeah, idiot..with 200 watts all tube you can knock down building lol
@@KeeperOfCliffsTone true, tried one of those at a music store and didn't have the balls to turn it even half way up 😅
Seems like the Terror has nothing on the AD.
Talk about power. The terror bass head was gain about 5 and the master gain on about 2, so there was alot of headroom left. I couldn't really tell on the AD200B what the gain and master gain was set at. Being 200 watts was there much headroom left on the Ad200B? Thanks Rock On!
the orange terror bass 500 hav tubes? which one is better? im interested in get a bass head :) thanks for your coments
The Terror 500 is solid state power amp with a tube preamp which gives it nice tube tones. It is also considerably cheaper than the AD200B, however the AD200B is the full tube package with tube preamp and power amp, so gives a slightly better tone, if you like the tube warmth sound. Personally, I don't think the AD200B is worth around triple the price unless you have the cash to spend, as the difference in tone between the two is hardly noticeable. Hope I could help. :)
Daniel Newberry Thanks man ;)
or for about 400 check out the bugera bvp 5500. 4 12ax7 tube preamp and solid state power
I hope the MK3 was turned off when you unplugged that speaker cable
