How I built a HARDWIRED electrical system in my Prius camper conversion #TinyCamper #carlife
I added a dedicated hardwired electrical system to my Prius camper conversion. It includes an AC and USB outlet in the front, and another in the back. It can charge from the car, from solar or rapid charge from a 1000W inverter connected to the hybrid system.

How I turned my prius camper is a 1000W AC GENERATOR on wheels #Carlife #TinyCamper

I turned my 2010 Toyota Prius into a generator to rapid charge my lithium by installing a 1000W inverter to the hybrid electric system. I like what you did with that power inverter! I may have to build a specific Prius camper this in mind. Don’t worry about the video quality. The important thing is that you’re putting information onto RUclips that will help other Prius enthusiasts.

Nice video... I got an inverter for Xmas to do this with my Prius 🙂 But the inverter I bought wasn't a pure sine wave. I still can't decide which inverter to buy. I'm wanting a 2000w to be able to use it for more in the future...

@@Brock79Nice. Careful though, like I said in the video, the Prius only has 1400 w available in its 12V system and the car needs some of that to run. So, you won't get 2000w. Though if you have a different year or trim double check the specs, it might be different.

@@EcoEvoExile I heard it was about 1800 watts? I have a 2014. There's a company that makes inverters specifically for the Prius. I can't seem to find that video anymore.

I removed my 2013 Prius' front passenger seat for awhile but used the area for storage and it became sort of a pit for stuff, and I ended up putting the seat back in and putting the Alpicool refrigerator in the front passenger footwell area and the microwave on a plastic cabinet on the seat. I shut down the airbag and seatbelt (when weight on seat) warnings from disconnecting the seat connectors by changing the Prius' settings using a wireless ODB2 car diagnostic connector linked to an app (called Dr. Prius?) that I downloaded to my iPhone, which also reduced the reverse beeping to just one beep. The information in your video on using resistors to simulate the connections I had not seen before, and it is good to learn something new. I like the way you used CAD (cardboard aided design) (disclaimer: I stole this joke from Bob Wells). I added your channel's video to my Prius Campers and Dwellers playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLx8nx9rsDPRH02-xB8_ubt2tX-_bsj5Lo

Yep, it's 4 inches of memory foam that rolls up. Though I leave it out permanently. I believe it is a standard cot sized mattress, something like 25" wide. I can get you a link if you want.
