Eh, well, length is a factor for sure. Most people don't like to read long emails, especially from people they don't know. Being succinct is important. I make video games and have researched digital marketing for a few years now. So far email marketing does not work, but I have confidence at least one person will respond. In my emails, I start with a slight introduction and why i think that person's audience would be interested in my product. For example, I'm making an indie 3d platformer based on Spyro. I reach out to people who cover indie 3d platformers, i follow their channels for years, so i can write about them. I have a marketing doc about why someone would like my game and why i reach out. I spend at least an hour per email because i research. I've gotten no emails back yet. I'm not lazy. Other people are to lazy to read and it seems most don't check their email.
